Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is going 2D…

I’m thinking they consider this an improvement over needing the glassses?

Disney clamored that it was for “enhanced visual details and clear imagery” to the point where you wouldn’t need glasses.

It definitely will be an improvement. Around 2/3 of the time I get a blank spot in my vision near the middle when using the 3d glasses and can't see the videos very well. And it is the glasses themselves, not my vision with the blank spot

It also sounds like they will be adding additional props which is also good

"Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will experience a short downtime Nov. 10-13, 2025 and will return with enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D. Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months."

At least this isn’t Chapek-like cheapening in a sense…

It will change mine for the 14th since that's our full EPCOT day. Maybe I'll actually see some of the vloggers I've been watching for years.

MMRR at HS is enhanced by not needing glasses imho

I love Flight of Passage but the glasses mixed with projections don’t always deliver consistent results. So if there’s a way to keep the visuals stunning without glasses on Remy, that might be a win!

I'm good with the no 3D glasses! And it cuts labor costs for Disney, too. CM's have to collect and stack the glasses after each show (it was 2 CM's) and then they are sent to be cleaned (the location is at Epcot). I was a manager at the Tree of Life many years ago and we had to have dedicated CM's to collect and stack the used glasses (AKA Bug Eyes) back into the trays and then drive them to Epcot to be cleaned and new ones picked up (twice a day). So it will save money in the long run - and I think it will be a better guest experience. Two good things! But I do remember the CM's liking the "glasses" position. It gave them a break from being outside in the heat and a break from the guests (not that they didn't like dealing with people, but every once in awhile it's nice to not have to talk anyone for a little bit!).

This is good news. I always get a headache with 3D glasses. It's like looking through a pair of distorted binoculars. Hopefully they will replace all 3D rides. They certainly have the technology now to make the screens crisp.

Happy about this change. The 3D makes me nauseous 🤢 Going to just miss the change since I come home on the 11th. 🙁
But I’ll be back in December!

I’m never a fan of 3D - it’s just something I’ve never liked anywhere, so I was very excited to find out this ride is going 2D. This is off topic….is the new Zootopia movie at AK going to be 3D like the Bugs Life movie? I don’t recall hearing one way or the other.
