Hello! We have a lunch reservation at BOG during our trip. We're traveling with friends, and my DH is arriving mid-vacation. Right now, it does not look like DH will be able to make it into the park for the lunch reservation and may want to make a reservation for himself at the resort on his arrival day. Here's my question: when he goes to book his own (new) reservation, it says he already is listed as going to the BOG lunch and it gives him the option to "remove himself" from the BOG reservation. Will removing himself automatically decrease the number of people the BOG reservation is for (from 6 to 5) or will it still stay a 6 person ressie and just take his name off? Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer to your question. But unless you are traveling at an extremely busy time of year, it is unlikely that he will need an ADR for just himself at the resort. And if he is flying, a bit risky. But perhaps he wants the assurance of an ADR. . .

Thank you, however this issue has come up repeatedly in changing our ADRs (not just for this particular meal) since we have many meals in common with our friends and plans might change, so I do still need to know if removing oneself from an ADR reduces the number of people on the original reservation or not.

Can you make a dummy ADR and test out what happens? Pick a restaurant, make and ADR for the two of you, have him make a conflicting ADR, select the "remove" option, and see what happens? Then just cancel both, once you have your info.

No you will still have a reservation for 6

I just did this for one of my reservations and you will still have a reservation for 6 at BOG...it just removes his name so that he is able to make other reservations for himself at the same time :)

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences--helps a lot!
