If I'm not 100% sure about getting the DDP for our trip in October but I have it on there right now, can I call and get it removed and then add it back right before we go? How does that work? THANKS!

Why not just leave it for now and remove it before your 45 day payment deadline instead of dealing with it twice?

What made you add it at first? And now want to take it way? And then maybe add it back in.

You can. And it'd be better to remove it now than after the 45 day mark (since you'd be hit with a change fee at that point) if you're still unsure.

After the 45 day mark, any changes are subject to a ~$50 change fee, plus any increases in package cost are due right then. Typically, they'll waive the change fee if upgrading (far more often than not), but if you're under ~10-14 days until check-in, this becomes more unlikely. Also note that you have until 72 hours before check-in to make any dining plan changes. After that point, you are locked in to what you have selected.

So, if you are unsure, it's better to drop it now and add it back later (after doing math, or figuring out what you need) than keep it and drop it later (after the 45 day mark).

(It also makes the 45 day balance due less, if that's a concern...which I had to do for my last trip (though that was downgrading and upgrading rather than flat out removing...same concept)).

Thanks! This is exactly the information I need.
