We currently have a 2BR villa at BCV for our January trip and my FIL has decided that he does not want to go any longer. He has stated that this is his final decision, but my question is do I have to take him off of the reservation or can I just leave him on and at check in tell the CM that he didn't come with us? I'm just afraid that he will change his mind last minute or within minutes of getting off the phone and taking him off. We did not get the dining plan, so as far as I can tell nothing would be affected. Thanks!!!

Since you are not doing one of the dining plans, there no harm to leave him on the reservation. If you need to add someone else and you would be over the ocupancy limit of the villa because of him, remove him then.

My two kids are 21 and 24 and I never know until the last minute how many people are showing up. It has been from 3 to 5 depending on girlfriend, boyfriend, my sister. As long as the room can handle the number of people I just tell them the correct names when I arrive and whether they have charging priviledges.

I end up driving down from NJ since changing train or plane tickets at the last minute is expensive.

Good luck

As long as you don't have dining plan or go over the occupancy of the accomodation, leave the names on reservation. I often keep the key of someone who doesn't come without charging privileges for things like going to the pool or out and about where I do not intend to room charge things.

Awesome! That was my next question. My mom only got a studio and may need to use our washer or kitchen. So if I can just give her a key that is great!

IF there is room on your reservation, you can add your mom as an additional guest and she will get her own key to come in/out of your room.

If it would put you over occupancy, then that obviously won't work!

In addition to what others have said, it's possible to get extra keys just for this reason even if you have the DDP.
