How much did it cost to install?

Do you like it>?

Pros and cons? I really want one!

Mine came with my malibu so I can't speak to the price, part of a package. However, it is WONDERFUL!!!! Especially on the extreme temperature days! The only thing I have issue with is that if I forget to push the A/C button before I get out, it just pulls the air from the outside. However, during the winter it does exactly as it should with the heat. It's great and I am deffinitely spoiled by it!

I've had 2 installed in 2 of the cars that I have owned.

Loved them both!

I had one professionally installed (this was in 2001) and it was $350.

The second one we had a friend install so it was just the cost of the starter.

Bought a new car last year. Decided not to install one, both the dealership and our garage said that they are taking out more and more of them because of issues. Who knows. But since my car is still under warrenty, didn't want to take the chance.

I love love love love loved mine when I had it.

We live in Alaska so we LOVED our auto start. It was pricey at $500 but so worth it.

Mine came installed, but I love it. We live in MA. in an apartment building 7fl. I hit the button before I leave and my car is warm with I get to it.
During the summer I hit the button from the train and the ac is running when I get to my car.

Greatest... Have it done professionally and get a warrenty.

I don't remember how much to have ours installed, but well worth every dollar that it was! :thumbsup2

I love mine! Just the other day I was running down the street being chased by a band of thugs. I knew if I was caught I was toast. As I neared my car I hit the remote start button. My car instantly started up. I got to the car, yanked open the door and jumped in, all while slamming the auto transmission into drive and stepping on the gas! I was away before those thugs realized what was up!

Of course, as I drove away I realized that the thugs were really just joggers, and that they just happened to be headed in my direction and had no idea I was running away screaming from them. However, a vivid imagination is a must with an automatic car starter.

My ex had one, and I wish we could get one on our current car. Unfortunately, we can't get one because it just wouldn't be practical. My husband couldn't have the keyfob at work (anything that sends and receives signals is banned.. he could get arrested) so there's no real point to having one.

Our Montana van came with one and it isn't the greatest. I had a Prostart brand installed in the car last winter and I love it. It is a must where we live.
Never having to get into a cold car again is worth every penny.
I think when all was said and done it was almost $500. We needed 2 bypass units at $100 each because there was an immobilizer (lots of car thefts here) installed.

My first remote starter was a Christmas gift from my DH and is one of my favorite all time gifts. I will never go without one again! I bought a new car in June and had one dealer installed so I'm not sure of the cost, but having one means never having to sit in an unheated car!

Ours came as part of the package. Love it! Having the car start cooling down before we get in it is wonderful in this extreme Texas heat! I can have the a/c running while I load the groceries without worry because the key is still with me instead of in the ignition. I couldn't imagine going back to life without it.

My impala has one-Factory installed. I love it.
Had one installed on my mom's car for a Christmas present. $500 down the drain. It had no range whatsoever. She had to be 10 feet from the car to get it to work. Defeated the purpose when she couldn't get it to start from her back door to the detached garage.

We had one installed on my Sunfire several years ago. I liked it, when it worked right. It was nice to be at work and push the button and know that when I went out 5-minutes later my car would be warm and the windshield would be defrosting.

It would turn be running just fine, then I'd try to put the car in gear and it would shut off and wouldn't start back up. It didn't happen every time, but enough so that I took it back and had them take it off.

THEN they told me "we have a lot of problems with Sunfires." Why didn't they tell me that BEFORE I bought it and had them install it?! They did give me all my money back though.

If it would come, factory installed, then I would love to have it on my next vehicle.

mine is awesome, it is a starter and alarm system. It cost 650 but I have car dealership connections so it was FREE!!:goodvibes
