I was actually so excited and anxious about a swap that I was on here last Tuesday morning going, "Where are the sign-up threads? I don't see them anywhere!"

I tried convincing myself that I didn't need to do any more swaps but then DH gave me a Cricut and I can't wait now! I'll probably limit my Disney swaps but I'm excited to see that we have a variety of others.

And to think I told him last year that I wouldn't be doing more. Oops!

Actually is it is more of a guideline than rules. There is plenty of you can do what you want. It is so that if you make really cool squares using your new notch tool to put a special embossed square in the middle, you don't get back some tiny 1x1 square with just a sticker stuck on it.

So it is more of a minium requirement. Feel complete free to go to the max that you can. Also it'll help newbies. It was really hard for me to figure out what dimensions things were when just looking at the past photos.

I do the same as you... Sometimes my journal boxes may be a little different.. and my borders I do 11"....but I do like your idea of 12" w/ room to eliminate space if I choose... I have done squares 2x2 before too...

I'm now up to 1998... and DH is already trying to help choose pictures to scrap and pictures to store..and now is complaining we need more storage.. Hello, sweetie.. you're home, you have the money go buy me more storage! We are now trying to decide how we want the books laid out.. Well, he is telling me.. I'm "sort of listening"... yeah, ah-ha..good idea.. Yeah right.. Actually some of his suggestions are worthy of thought.. For instance, one scrapbook he wants only Christmas.. starting w/ our first Christmas together..and w/ the kids..... boy do I wish someone would have been at the house the night he proposed to me.. I remember the date, the time, the fact I was watching tv, how he did it...and I still have the wrapping paper and bow from the box!

Nancy, I've sent you a copy of the guidelines. They seem to be in line with what most of us were doing anyway. Just thought it would be nice to have all there in black-n-white. But totally feel free to improve upon them. All advice is welcome.

So here we are, a week before swapping can begin again, I had things figured out about what I wanted to do...but now that all has to change!

I am now on the EXTREME scrapping budget. It should be worth it though. This is dependent on my my Mom getting her time off approved, but if that goes through DH, my parents and I are going on the 14-day Eastbound Repositioning cruise on the Magic!!!!!

A couple days before Christmas, I got a call from my Dad saying that Disney is offering CM's 50% rates for that cruise and if we wanted to go. DH and I crunched the numbers, and I promised to be really, REALLY, REALLY good and he agreed we could get a cat 5 veranda stateroom.

I'm still going to sign up for some swaps (Epcot, especially), but if you don't see my name around too much, it's 'cause I'm saving for Spain.

Thats is sooooo worth it.. well, just because you may not be going crazy in the swap department are you willing to be the inspirational go to person?? I know there are sometimes I have an idea but just can't get it to work unless I talk to someone...

I did an all xmas album, starting when DS10's first xmas. I'll take some pics later.
DH is good at drive by scrapping. He'll pick colors, move pics, and walk away! LOL

Good I'm glad to see someone else had the all Christmas book idea.. Now, if DH asks... he came up with the idea all on his own! We have to make him happy!

I'm hoping DH will be a drive by scrapper too.. otherwise the scraproom will get too crowded.. okay, off to help DH.. He has decided to put some of the tubs away for decorations.. My tree is still up and outside is still decorated but I took 1/2 the house apart.. the tree MUST stay up til after the new year.. tradition!
