reminder-keep checking availability!

I'm a newbie to all this code stuff. Recently got my first AP & changed a rack rate reservation to a different resort to take advantage of the AP code for Dec 2007. Someone on this list suggested checking back frequently for additional room availability. I kept checking the WDW site (AP page), spotted something last night & this AM called & made a change that I'm very happy with.

So to all the other newbies....if you have something specific in mind, keep checking, checking, checking!

Yup, calling back is often worth the trouble, or at least worth the peace of mind that you've "done your best" to get what you want. (At some point, dedicating all those hours to calling CRO can cause problems esp when you get so stressed over not having that particular ressie or code or whatever, but the breaking point is different for everyone. Sometimes the way to 'fix' that, is not to call for a few days (assuming the code/deal isn't expiring yet), give yourself a breather from all the WDW planning madness in your head, and then try again.

I posted earlier that I'd originally been unable to get the Dec code I wanted applied, but that I really didn't want my aunt having to pay rack rate (we had a different, better discount with my pin code). My persistence paid off -- my fourth call in a week yielded the code availability for our exact dates, resort and room type.

For those who don't want to spend $$ on long distance calls to Florida, there are toll free numbers out there. (Or Skype if you've got high speed internet and a headset.)

I keep looking and calling, I just want a king bed room at POR for NEXT Thanksgiving 2008!! Are they that booked already?? It is driving me nuts!

I also tried and tried for months with no luck for the 25th. I was going to do a split stay SoG/WL then a "ding" came out for Tampa yesterday and I changed my flight for $20....It was worth it to me...Now also because of the military code a fellow disser posted, GF for 6 nights here I come!!!

1 800 828 0228 is the number I've used (I originally found it on the Canadian DIsers board, but I'm pretty sure it works throughout the US and Canada. Possibly Mexico although I've never tried it from there!)

Wow! Wow, wow! This morning, low and behold, the BC opened up for the 25th I'm so happy! It does pay to keep checking, although nothing is a guarantee.

I have been trying to get the ZQH code since it came out with no luck. Yesterday I decided to try one more time and it worked. I upgraded from POP to POR and saved $100.00. So keep trying! Oh, we are going Oct. 6 to 13th.
