I agree.... PUSH..... Please!!

Sorry I have been absent....had a MAJOR crisis at work...almost unemployed kind of crisis. But it's been dealt with and thankfully I am still employed.

I hope you both have wonderful vacations full of this stuff...pixiedust:

Life gets in the way sometimes and it isn't always a good thing. There was a MAJOR issue at work over the weekend involving myself and one other. No details, but I am just thankful to still have a job. So, sorry I have been absent. Now, on to much better things....

Day 4

We had a wonderful day yesterday at Epcot! We managed to get a good night's sleep and we were up at 6:30 to be at MK for a 9 AM rope drop. This was the morning of the full marathon and traffic was supposed to be a NIGHTMARE!!! So up and at em....had breakfast in our room and out the door...but here are a couple of pics of what the mornings looked like out our balcony door....

FOGGY!! And it was actually dissipating a lot at this point!
309-1.jpg

Hot air balloons!!
305-1.jpg

Now, my notes say that we arrived at the TTC and were forced to board one of a line of buses to take us from the TTC parking lot across to the Monorail and or Ferry. We would have walked it and been there in less than 5 minutes...but we were stuck on the bus in traffic for about 20 minutes. We managed to get into the park at 9:15. This was a MESS!! People were texting their spouses from the bus because he was at the TTC with the stroller and walked instead of getting on the bus and we were all stuck on the buses!! It was the most asinine situation. Note to self...avoid Marathon weekend like the plague!!
So, we managed to get into MK after the welcome ceremony was finished. We had the same goals today as our first MK day. Dumbo and BTMRR!! So we headed through the Castle towards Dumbo. But when we exited we saw that the Stepsisters were badgering a cute little baby and we realized there was no one else waiting. The character Nazi that was there quickly took over and got us and everyone lingering into a line along the wall and we ended up being second in line which was good because it gave us a second to grab our books and pen and camera.
They loved the girls autograph books and Lady Tremaine berated them into thanking their Mother for making them...it was funny!!
313-1.jpg

Look...she even has the finger wag going!!
315-1.jpg

316-1.jpg

That was fun! We headed straight to Dumbo next and rode with NO WAIT!! Note to self..I think I like Marathon weekend after all!

This time Rapunzel rode with Ferb
321-1.jpg

We left Fantasyland and headed to Frontierland and picked up FP to BTMRR at 9:43 and rode as a walk on. They had 10 minutes posted. Then we walked right back on again!! We left there and I had a REALLY quick unexpected meet up with princesssuzanne whom I have been talking to on the Jan board and also on Facebook. It was pretty cool meeting her in person...unfortunately you get so caught up in getting to the next ride or show and you don't take the time you should to really talk to someone. Sorry for that Suzanne. Would have been nice to really chat, my bad.
As we walked over through Adventureland we saw that they were just getting ready to set up for the pirate tutorial and we decided to stay and watch. What a great idea!! Because Rapunzel got picked (last, and only because she had a double eyepatch on!! LOL). Then they let Stitch come up at the end to take the oath too! This was so entertaining!!

325-1.jpg

I swirled out the other kids faces...
328-1.jpg

331-1.jpg

She did really well...she was the first to go up against him and I was surprised at how well she actually did!
332-1.jpg

333-1.jpg

334-1.jpg

Can't wait until we get our Photopass CD. There are tons of pics from that!! After this we rode Aladdin and headed back over to BTMRR to grab another FP. We had lunch at Peco Bill's and my book says it was now 11. We realized we hadn't even been in Tomorrowland yet so we headed over there and grabbed FP for Buzz. We watched another funny installment of Monsters Inc and then used our FP for Buzz. When we got out of Buzz, Rapunzel reminded me that I owed her a Duffy Bear. So we grabbed one at the little cart in Tomorrowland. We decided to head out for a break and stopped at the Theatre to combine all our Photopass cards. We took a nice break at WBC and had a swim! The weather was just wonderful, it had gotten up to 75 degrees and to us Canadians that is DEFINITELY swimming weather!

We left WBC at 4:36 and we were walking into the park at 5:10...not too shabby for off site and having to park at the TTC. Much better than that morning, that's for sure!:thumbsup2
Rapunzel had decided that she just needed to trade at least one pin..we took care of that at the cart just inside the train station entrance. We got our pic taken by Photopass and she managed to time it with the fireworks with the castle show...they are sort of noticeable when I looked on the photopass site..hopefully they can be seen better when I get the CD. We walked over to Adventureland and grabbed some yummy Dole Whip! YUMMY!!!
We slowly made our way over towards POC and we finally got Rapunzel to ride!!! And, she LOVED it!!:cloud9::yay: She now has this as one of her favorite rides!! I am so glad we have added another ride we can all do together as a family!:grouphug: We made our way into Frontierland to use our BTMRR FP's. It was dark by now and all I could see was a mess of people lingering. I figured they were all waiting for their FP return time...but nope...everyone had the same idea as us. This was BTMRR's last day and everyone had gathered FP's all day, and we all showed up at the same time to use them. The wait was posted at 40 minutes for standby...but they were making announcements that the delay was going to be much longer due to FP returns. Just to put it into perspective, the FP line was backed up to the wooden railing at the walkway along the water!!! So we waited and rode this ride 2 times in a row using our FP's and it was the best way to see everything lit up at night...the castle still had the holiday lights and it was so pretty!!
After saying farewell to The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness, we walked leisurely over to Fantasyland and saw the 5 min sign up at Small World. Stitch had promised to ride this if her sister would ride POC with us.
Here is Rapunzel!
373-1.jpg

Not too excited? Such a HAM!!!
374-1.jpg

And of course this is how her sister feels about SW..
375-1.jpg

But she promised and to be honest, she made this face on purpose for the camera...now who is the HAM?!

We walked over towards the hub and Rapunzel wanted to stay and watch MM&Y and Wishes. We left after this and stopped on the way home at the Hess station for milk. It's really weird when you see WDW CM's in there in their uniforms and with their name tags still on...I think Walt wouldn't like that! We made it back to WBC by 9:30.

It was a wonderful day...Marathon mess and all. We rode our faves and even got Rapunzel to add another favorite to her list!! We got a decent rest that night because we didn't need to get up early. Tomorrow is rest and DTD!! Ahhhh.....:cloud9:

Day 5

Today is a scheduled rest day and we slept until 7:30. Not too bad considering we have a hard time sleeping in when we feel like we might be missing out on something!! We had a lazy morning and had breakfast in the room. At one point that morning we had two showers, the jacuzzi tub, the dishwasher and the laundry all on the go!! Gotta love that room!! But, what we found was that the TV in the main room was missing channels and our phone wasn't able to make outgoing phone calls. We called down about the phone and the tv at least 3 times and finally got someone to do a service call on the tv and someone fixed the phone remotely. But it took too many calls to get these things done. Coupled with the lack of customer service surrounding the bed bug issues we are disappointed with Wyndham Bonnet Creek. The amenities are wonderful, the location can't be beat...but I think that they are relying on these things to carry them and that's a shame.
But moving on, we enjoyed the morning in our condo and headed out and we were at DTD by 10:30. We had a reservation at TRex for lunch but we thought about having dinner there instead and we couldn't call out from our room yet so we decided to stop by there and talk to them in person.
Gotta get some pics here!
377-1.jpg

We managed to change our ADR with no problems and walked from there around the Lego displays and Rapunzel decided she needed to have a pic with each one!

386-1.jpg

387-1.jpg

We walked over to Guest Relations so the girls could exchange some money they got from their British grandmother. We got a pretty crappy exchange rate, but the CM warned us. It wasn't a lot of money and they were just happy to have some money to spend. So with money in hand where do we head?

388-1.jpg

Check out how much someone has changed since 2008!!:sad1:
P9150017-1.jpg

Rapunzel likes this guy!!
391-1.jpg

And now she is one of them since she can ride POC!! pirate:

Inside the store and it was still a Rapunzel photo shoot!!
392-1.jpg

At WOD Stitch bought a stuffed Pumba (she was very happy to feed it the stuffed bugs that came with it :confused3) , and a mini stuffed Figaro, and Rapunzel bought a Club Penguin book and a stuffed Dug. I found it funny how they both went for characters from "older" movies. With all the new stuff always coming out they both gravitated to the oldies but goodies.

By this time we were getting hungry so we headed over to EOS! Our receipt was printed at 11:20. There was a short line and we had no problem getting a table at this hour either! Ferb got the seasonal sandwich that he said was a Thanksgiving meal on a bun and was in HEAVEN!! I got the one with pineapple, can't remember the name..but it was delish! The girls ate the turkey sandwich and everyone enjoyed their lunch!

We walked out through the kitchen shop and then onto the Christmas Shop. Stitch and I each found something to buy in the adjacent store with all the Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise. Stitch got a sticker book and I found a clear purse with Jack Skellington on the ends and little pictures of the characters from the movie spread out all over the purse. I love purses and I have to use a clear one at work so this was AWESOME!!:yay: We walked across to the design a tee store.

393-1.jpg

Then back over to Goofys where Stitch got a sugartube and Rapunzel got a HUGE lollypop that she still hasn't finished. I grabbed one pretzel rod and ate that on the way out.

Gotta stop for more pics..

Oh dear!! That is not so good to hear!!!

We left DTD and headed back to WBC for a swim..it was up to 75 again today!! We headed over to a new pool today between tower 5 and 6 and we really liked this one. We swam and went around and around in the lazy river. Then we took a dip in the hot tub before we dried off and walked over to play miniature golf. This was a wonderful afternoon!
We had an ADR at T-Rex and we headed back to DTD at 5:20. We walked down to West Side checking everything out along the way and back. We got seated in the Ice room and that was pretty cool! But, this time our meal was lack luster and the girls didn't even finish their dinner. We should have seen this as a sign of things to come, but we figured it was just because the food wasn't that great.
Love the decor in here
396-1.jpg

Even in the bathroom!
403-1.jpg

After dinner we walked over to the pin trading store and got the girls some new pins.
404-1.jpg

405-1.jpg

This was when things started to go really down hill. It became pretty obvious that although we had a nice day away from the parks, we didn't get enough rest. The plan was to go to Ghirardelli for dessert. We couldn't get the girls to agree on anything and we weren't going to be buying 4 different ice creams...not at those prices! We would buy two big ones and share them with the girls. But they were having major meltdown moments and we decided to leave. Not pretty...I can assure you...and yes we probably got some pretty nasty glares on the way back to the car. But, if you can't agree on dessert, then you don't deserve it and need to go get some rest.
So, back in the room...full of apologies...the girls got ready for bed and everyone got a good night sleep.
Tomorrow....DHS!! Toy Story Midway Mania...the other Disney Marathon...or was it?

Hi!! We just got back and I'm itching to write my TR but I just want to let you know I have subbed and started reading yours. Looking forward to all those ups and downs:cool1:

Hi!! We just got back and I'm itching to write my TR but I just want to let you know I have subbed and started reading yours. Looking forward to all those ups and downs:cool1:

:welcome: Thanks for joining, Jo!! Post a link when you get one started, so we can compare notes!! Hope you guys had a wonderful vacation..I wanna hear all about Hawaii!!!

I have read through your TR and I'm laughing at all the similarities to our trip. We all loved POC too and there were those of us who weren't too happy to do SW (ie everyone but me!). We missed BTMR but Splash Mountain and Space Mountain were our must do's in MK. I also had a nod of the head to the references to Wal Mart. That was one of our first stops too. And also your arguments over food. We had some grumpy moments (especially DD2) and they always seem to happen over food though I know they were more a result of being over tired.

It's interesting to read about your offsite accom experiences. It's great to hear that you had pretty good travel and parking experiences. I didn't even think about checking for bedbugs:scared1. Glad you were able to sort that out.

Your girls are a little younger then ours. They were more into character opportunities than mine, though we did have a couple of impromptu experiences and they loved our Crystal Palace Character Breakfast. Otherwise your girls still seem to have the same responses to their experiences as my girls did. It really is a "Small World after all"(cue the groans on both sides of the world).:thumbsup2

BTW I am doing a mini TR for the Camping Forum. Here's the link http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2868796

HEY! You snuck another trip in! I just caught up and loving it.

So are you happy you bought at at WBC then? I hope they do contact you back and use a little customer service. That is jut ridculous the way they acted.

Just goes to show that no matter how old you are, if you're tired or hungry...you get grumpy! That's one of the reasons we are thinking of adding a day to our next vacation. We can have another rest day in the middle and stay happy! I'm going to hop over and check out your mini TR, because I have always been curious about that resort! How did your time in Hawaii go?

I don't know about you, but popcorn makes me thirsty...here you go! :drinking1 ;) Hope you are enjoying the read!:thumbsup2

Yeah, I was sneaky! :cool2: Thanks for joining us, Jen! Hope all is well with you...how's the Disney Travel Specialist thing going for you?
We haven't heard back from Wyndham, but I'm not really surprised. I have heard some lackluster reviews regarding their customer service. I am still happy with our timeshare purchase, though. We will still have a wonderful resort to stay in when we go to Disney and have options in the future for other vacations as well.

Okay, I am finally all caught up! :yay:

I am definitely jealous of your many rides on BTMRR! It was definitely missed while we were there, although I was so so happy that Splash Mountain was actually open in BTMRR's absence, so it all worked out.

Love Ghirardelli, that's a bummer that it didn't work out for you guys. But it sounds like some sleep was probably needed, as kids totally get overstimulated in Disney World... and swimming can take a lot out of you!

Looking forward to reading a lot more of your TR, now that I'm home and have a little more time to catch up on all the TRs I missed while we were in Disney World! :thumbsup2

We met this same exact Lady Tremaine at our dinner our first night at the parks. She was in perfect character – never missed a beat – loved her.

Thanks for joining us! We were so lucky with the timing of this vacation. We plan so far in advance and don't know what will be open or closed. Usually Splash Mountain wouldn't matter to us as much as you guys..we all got to ride it later in the week and had fun, but BTMRR was essential and we made sure to take full advantage of those couple of days!! Don't worry about Ghirardelli, just like BTMRR, it's all in the timing!

She was really good!! Thanks for reading along! Gonna go check yours out too!

I would like to apologize, again , for being MIA this week. I have been training to become a Travel Agent and further a Disney Specialist. That has been all consuming this week, I'm afraid. I have gotten as far as I can with the training and need to take a special exam that is required here in Ontario. That is scheduled for the 16th and I need to study for that, so I am squeezing this update in here and then will need to concentrate on that exam for a while.

Day 6

After the meltdown the night before we got up pretty early this morning...6:40 and had breakfast in our room. We were on the road by 8:04 and at DHS and in line by 8:20. It's a good thing, too! They were trying a new opening procedure and we had no idea! At 8:30 they opened the turnstiles and we walked right to TSMM. Our plan was to have Ferb rush with the runners to the FP machine and we would meet him at the stand-by line to ride. We sort of followed the same plan, but it wasn't nearly as crazy as usual. We had FP's and were riding all before 9 AM!! :yay: We walked over to Star Tours next and rode that with the new updates for the first time, and we loved it!! Ferb is a Sci Fi guy and it was really good to see that they have cool stuff for guys like him! We all really liked that ride! We headed over to find where P&F were doing their M&G and we were waiting there at 9:15! We rode TSMM, got FP's and rode Star Tours and were in line for P&F all by 9:15!! :thumbsup2
This M&G didn't start until 9:30 and we were the first in line. Actually, we got there before the line opened, and the CM got a little snarky with me when I asked him about waiting. Hey, ease up buddy, you have ALL day to hear stupid questions...
So we waited and took pics...
This is right across from the line-up..

Here's one of the P&F area...

Then it was time and we were so excited!! Ferb and the girls really LOVE this show!! They were singing along with the music they have playing from the show!!

412-1.jpg

Notice the Perry shirts on all three?
413-1.jpg

Notice I'm not in any of those pics? Well, I had the VERY important job of getting this all on video! :cool2: Yea, so you're supposed to push this little button..and I did, only I think I pushed it too many times and all I got was people's feet.....:rolleyes1 I was sooooo upset about it all because it was such an amazing meet and greet experience!!! We got great interaction and we were first in line! :sad2: Ferb and the girls were great about it. I even got a hug from Ferb....no, not my Ferb.....the REAL FERB!!! I love me some Ferb!!! LOL!!

Alright, I must apologize again..this update has taken me too long and I need to get going, we have a birthday party this afternoon and we need to get going, it's about an hour away and I still need to get a present!

Love your P&F meet! How cute I'm excited about that for our next trip. BTW I like your Ferb's Perry shirt!

How exciting about becoming a TA! Good luck on your test! Oh and I'm sorry you had drama at work, hope all is better.

Thanks, Bickiana. Things are much better now and I seem to have settled back into a comfortable state of being and just go in and do my job without worrying all the time.
We love P&F and have been waiting for YEARS for this to happen!! And, doh! I didn't get it on tape! But, that means we have to do a re-do in Oct!!! ;)
I'm very excited about my new Travel Agent ventures!! Can't wait to start helping people have awesome vacations!!
BTW..Ferb got that shirt for Christmas from my anti-Disney brother and his wife! And, I got Disney ornaments from them! I was so surprised they actually put money into the Disney empire!! :rotfl:
