I never really took the time to learn about the creator of it all......I'm so happy I found the website Mouse Extra (thank you DIS)

Walt Disney died in 1966 not being able to see WDW opening in 1971

The Disney family had an apartment in the firehouse at DisneyLand.

When Walt was in the hospital, near the end, he was planning EPCOT's layout by looking at the ornate ceiling tile in his room.

Long live your ideas and memories Mr. Disney, you have made many families so happy pixiedust:

My 8 year old son had to do a biography report for school and at first he didn't know who he wanted to do his report on so I took him to the library and showed him where the biography section was and told him to just look over the books. He comes over to me and says " I picked one mom" and I asked him who he chose and he said Walt Disney. Reading the book together made me so happy. I already knew that he never got to see his dream come true. Reading the book with my son makes me appreciate the time our family gets to spend together at Disney all that more special.
