Tell me about your BEST day EVER at WDW......whether it was at a park or a resort.......I want to know your most favorite day of all your visits....C'mon, ONE day must stand out above all the rest for some reason......C'mon people, make me cry :)

My best day ever at WDW was the day after my wedding. I had never been to WDW before, and only agreed to go on my honeymoon because I knew my wife loved it, and I knew that it would be warm there. Needless to say, after about an hour in the park, I was addicted for life. We are going back in September for our sixth trip.

Did I mention that we only got married three years ago? pirate:

The very last day of our first trip was probably the best. My husband isn't a big Disney fan and he only agreed to go on that first trip because the kids and I begged him. We had a wonderful trip and the first five days went great. (Thanks in a large part to everything I learned on these boards).

On the last day we went back to MK to do all our favorites-Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, etc.

At the end of the day as we were leaving MK my unDisney husband said "Come here kids." He put his arms around them and said "This has been the best trip and you have both been so good. We will come back again!"

My husband is not a sentimental person and his words were just so touching to me. He kept his promise, too. We've been back twice since then. I'm working on the next trip!

about 6-7 yrs ago me and my brother played on a travel baseball team that was coached by my dad. We went to the labor day weekend tournament and our team played in the tournament. We got the oppurtunity to play on the big league field that the ATL Braves have spring training on, and it was absolutely amazing. It was our 3rd game of the day, and everyone was beat. After the game we all went back to the hotel and showered, and my dad said for all of us to meet @ the pool with our bathing suits for some relaxation time @ the pool. When we got there there were a couple of those large golf carts that took us out to the cars, and we procedded to Blizzard Beach. We only got in a couple hours, but it was awsome cause there were no lines. There was EMH @ MK that day, and we went there afterwards, and it was dead. No one in the parks. Longest wait was like 25 mins for splash moountain. It was just an awsome trip overall, but that day stands out.

My first ever trip to WDW was in June 1976, never having stepped foot on an airplane, no less WDW! We decided that WDW was going to be one of our Honeymoon destinations.....drove a rental car into the MK parking lot...where bushes were formed into characters and animals! Took the magical ferry ride from TTC to MK...saw the castle from the boat, and at that time they also had tons of balloon vendors at the dock, such a magical beginning to a magical marriage, beautiful daughter (who actually loves Disney so much, she moved down to FL after her college graduation, and is currently a CM!), and now DVC ownership! You only wanted info on one magical trip...if you want more....let me know...I've got plenty!

10 years ago we went to the MK with my DMIL(now deceased),it was her only time there. It was her,me,my 2DS,my neice & nephew. Our cousin was a CM at the time and was able to get all of us in the park. We got a wheelchair for DMIL and had the best time running too all the attractions we wanted to do. Her favorite was COP & to this day I tear up when I'm there. We were able to go to the front of the line so in 6 hours we did many attractions. It's a memory i'll never forget. She smiled the whole time :)

That's just beautiful. :goodvibes

My best day at WDW was the very first trip we were able to take with our two dds. We weren't able to swing a big family vacation until the girls were older (16 & 8). We flew down for Christmas, and it took us what seemed like forever to find our way to MK using Disney's transportation. Anyway, it was dark by the time we walked into the park and the girls had no idea what the layout of the park was. My oldest wondered aloud where the castle was, and as she said it we walked out into the street and there it was, all lit up and glowing in the distance. She looked at it with tears running down her face and whispered "It's so beautiful mommy....." I just started to cry because I felt so lucky to be there with the three most important people in my world. :goodvibes

We got engaged at MK on the first full day of a trip that we planned for about a year and a half. It was also our first time staying on site- we were hooked after that! That was the best day for me!

The day me and dh got engaged! We went the week after Christmas in 2003 for New Years. My then dbf spent the month up to the trip telling me he wasn't ready to get married and it would probably be another 6 months to a year before it happened. Needless to say he proposed to me at midnight during the New Years Eve fireworks at Magic Kingdom. We went back for our Honeymoon a year later.

My best day was on May 19, 1993. My husband (then boyfriend) took me to Disney for the first time. We went directly to Cinderella's castle. It was only a place I could ever imagine as a child...and I was finally there! My DH started video taping me in front of Cinderella's castle. He then asked me to video tape him, so I began to tape him. My DH told me to press the title button on the camcorder, he then pulled out a diamond engagement ring. Across the screen were the words..."Lisa, will you please marry me?" It was very romantic, that was my best day! It was Magical!! We started out going when we were engaged, we returned on our honeymoon and now it is our special place to bring our three children every year. :goodvibes

Aww! I like reading these. :)

I would have to say that our best day was our very first day there last year. I had been once when I was 11 and did not remember too much about it. Dh had never been before. We took our then 2 1/2 year old son. He was so excited. We drove down from NC all night long and were at the front desk of POR to check in at 9am! We were so in awe that we were actually there after all the planning and looking foward to it. We got to our room which was just as we requested and it was beautiful and so cozy. We sat down a few mins, felt so tired we thought we could use a little nap for an hour or 2 since it was still early. We laid down and about 15 mins later dh said, you want to get on the boat and go to DTD? I was like yeap, sure do! :rotfl2: So we jumped up and we were out the door within 10 mins to head over to get on the boat. We had a great boat ride over to DTD and spent a few hours there. We looked around, made a Mickey cup at Goofys candy Co, etc.. Then we got back on the boat to come back. When we opened the door to the room there was a beautiful gift basket and bag for my hubby for our anniversary and one for my son with some goodies in it. Peg made those and sent them over and it was the sweetest most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for us. She knew I wanted to suprise hubby ands he made it happen. It was so great to see their faces when they saw those gifts sitting there on the table. They both hugged me. :)

(some pics to help you get the picture..lol)

After that we really did lay down and take a nap..lol We were so tired.

We had ressies for Liberty Tree Tavern at 6 so we got up about 5 and thought we had plenty of time. We got ready and headed over to the MK. When we walked in we were all 3 in awe. I mean really it was so amazing. That feeling ot stepping into the MK for the first time was perfect. It was a beautiful day and there was just this happiness that came from the park as soon as we were in it. We were running a bit behind as it was 5:50 so we wanted to get to LTT fast. We were just dying to stop though b/c the first characters we see among entering were Pinocchio and Ghepeto which were the main 2 we wanted to find. Pinocchio had a long line we knew we could not wait in but Ghepeto did not so we took Ethan over to see him and he gave him a big hug. :) This was his first character experiece and he loved it. I had tears in my eye as I took pics.

Then it was off to LTT for our first meal in Disney. It was PERFECT! The food was good, the character interaction with my son was AMAZING! He loved every second of it. They also had put a heart on our table for our anniversary. It was so sweet. I got tons of pics with my son interacting with the characters. Pluto was by far his fave that night and has been a fave of his since then.

Then after that we just enjoyed the rest of the night, fireworks, meeting characters, chatting to cm's and lastly enjoying some rides during the night EMH. When we got back to the hotel we browsed the gift shop and stopped to get a snack in the food court area. I got the yummiest big ice cream cookie. Then we pressed some pennies and headed back to our room where to sat up forever looking at pamplets and such talking about our day. I have no idea what time we finally fell asleep but it was a perfect day to us all!

(watching wishes)

So there is our best day in Disney ever and some pics to go with it. :) I love remembering that day. I hope this year our first day is just as special. :goodvibes

You know, from going to WDW more than 20 times, I have a lot of times to pick from. I could pick my first trip or I could pick the first time that I took my DW or DKs. Or I could pick when I was there when Hurricane Ivan came through. (Everyone had evacuted Florida so there was no lines for anything.) But if I had to be honest, the best moment was last year when I was at WDW for the first time during a holiday. We were there during Father's Day. We went to AK and then hopped over to MGM where SWW were still going on. As big a fan of Star Wars as I am, that is not what made the trip for me. It was being in my favorite place with my DS. I don't know if I can top that but I am going to try as I will be back again this year but with my DD. I can't wait.

My best day was also my scaries trip. September 2001. I was to have come home from my trip to DL on Sept 11, 2005, via airline. I ended up staying longer due to flights being canceled and was able to stay for my birthday on Sept 14. I had never been to DL on my birthday before and it was an extremely special day to me due to being there. Although since I did not have a drivers licensee and my flights kept getting canceled and having to have my parents come from Oklahoma to pick me and my son up. It was still an amazing trip and birthday. :wizard:

I still hear this story from my grandparents everytime we bring up WDW...Back in 2001, we decided to give Christmas time at WDW a try, but we'd only do it if both sets of grandparents and my uncle came with...One morning we were eating at Wispering Canyon Cafe at WL and I just had to be the one to ask for ketchup..What do ya know about 30 people brought their bottles over; while our waiter is screaming ketchup at the top of his lungs! I'm hiding behind my napkin I'm laughing so hard I'm crying! Everyone got pictures of us! I know it's not too exciting, but it's a family moment that none of us will ever forget since it'll be the only time my grandparents will ever be there!

Mine was during our last trip. My DH and I went to Epcot on our first night. He'd never been to Disney (actually, he'd never been to anything resembling a major theme park!) before and was loudly adamant he was going to hate it. I wanted to make sure he got a good dose of an average ride before breaking him into the bigger thngs, so we went on Spaceship Earth first. His reaction . . . "Cool, but I don't see the big deal" of course. I knew he'd say that. Then I took him over to HISTA.

He gave the protective goggles a sneering glance, figuring it was going to be like the old 3D movies we grew up with, like Jaws 3D :lmao: The movie started, and he whispers "wow, this actually looks pretty good". I just sat back and waited. Then Wayne comes out in his little flying machine, and DH tries not to let me see him do the "hand wave". Then, that lovely moment when the flying machine smacks into your goggles . . . I looked over, and the sound may have well have been the ice breaking around DH. Mr I-Hate-Disney couldn't bounce rides fast enough and was bouncing in his ECV waiting to get his picture taken with characters for the rest of the trip. Truely magical. :wizard:

Some of our most memorable moments at WDW have come at unexpected times. Example: In 2002 we were caught in a HUGE downpour while at Epcot. We had no rain ponchos. Our two young sons were with us. It went on for a long time. The park pretty much cleared out. We stood under a canopy near that African-themed bus over by the entrance to Germany. The rain kept coming down. We finally decided to take off our shoes and just walk through the rain and the water. By this time it was a foot deep in places. It was a very magical experience. The kids, my wife, and I were all kids on that day and the park was so quiet and peaceful because everyone else had run for cover. Over the years we have had so many of those magical experiences that often come from unexpected sources and at unexpected times.

My favorite day isn't in the parks, but at the Beach Club beach. My DBF and I were hanging out on the beach just walking around, and he stopped and started giving me this huge speech about how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He then pulled out a ring, and I knew it wasn't an engagement ring, because we were no where near being ready for that, but instead it was a promise ring. These two ladies were sitting on the sun loungers watching what was going on, and they thought he was proposing! It was cute, although it wasn't the big engagement ring I wanted, I know that one day he will be redy to propose, and I am almost 100% sure it will happen somewhere at WDW

I loved each and every one of these replies!!! Since I am the OP, I shall share mine with you......My favorite day that stands out above all others, so far:

Riding the POR bus back from MK very late, the bus is packed. There was one grumpy older gentleman telling his family he had enough "pixie dust" and just couldnt wait to get outta there..on the other side of the aisle a father start singing Zippety Doo-Daa to his little boy quietly......and I SWEAR this is true, one by one EVERYONE on that bus, including the driver started singing along with him....the grumpy old man was NOT happy and would NOT sing, he just glared at all of us in contempt (He just didnt get it).

We sang all the way back to the resort loudly, boisterously.....we were all exhausted, but we didnt care, and I still believe to this day, as weird as this is going to sound, the spirit of Walter Elias Disney himself was on that bus that night with us!!! IT IS MY BEST DISNEY DAY!!! :wizard:

The first trip my oldest DS and I took when he was young.

When he got so excited about the parade when he saw Mary Poppins, he said "She's so beautiful!", the magic had him then and I could see it. Makes me teary eyed to this day just remembering the look on his face. Matter of fact, the Mary Poppins DVD was one of his Christmas presents last year.

DS10 now, enjoys and appreciate's his trips, but not like the older one did when he was younger.

But the looks on EVERYONE'S face when you first see the Disney entrance gate, and the giggly fun feeling everyone gets as soon as you pass through it. :goodvibes
