25th Anniversary, took my mom for her first ever Disney trip. We stayed at the new Boardwalk Villas for $185/night for a studio.

Okay, CSB time.

In 1997 I graduated from high school. My high school always had a senior class trip to Toronto, but somehow in my year some parents got wind of the fact that their kids might be exposed to drinking on the trip (because there's some other reason for 18-year-olds to go to Canada). That trip got cancelled, but imagine my joy when option #2 turned out to be Disney World! I spent nearly a week in WDW with all my best high school friends. I made memories I'll never forget. I absolutely refused to photograph the castle, because I thought the birthday cake overlay was ugly (I still think that).

Anyways, why is this a "cool story"?

Summer of 1997 DH was a CM in the college program. He worked Tomorrowland Terrace on a day I know I was in the parks. Alas, my friends and I ate at Cosmic Rays that day. Fast forward 10 months or so, and he and I are cleaning up a stadium to earn money for the college club sports team we both belong to. He mentions that he worked at WDW in the summer and I think that's just the coolest thing ever. We spend the next hour+ getting to know each other and talking about Disney.

The rest, as they say, is history. We have plans to visit for the 50th Anniversary, with our DD in tow.

We were there October 6-7 1996 for our honeymoon so the Cake Castle has a special place in my heart. We will be back October 1-5 this year to celebrate our 25th anniversary!
