FYI to all those who may have called Member Services to cancel a dining plan. Make sure you follow up. They forgot to "refund" me, and I had to call and chase it down.
Don't always assume that they will "process" your refund. I have been watching my credit card statement now for 2 weeks, and the cancelled dining plan refund had not yet appeared. Assuming that this is "disney," and it would happen eventually, I just kept waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
Suffice it to say, I called 5 minutes ago, and was arguing with the Cast Member, who claimed that they processed the refund on April 29. I told him that I purchased the dining plan on April 29, but cancelled it on May 1 or May 2. He kept saying that it will take time, and I had to call MY BANK to see where the refund was.
Well, suddenly he asked to put me on hold. A few minutes later he told me that they had FORGOTTEN to request a refund in their system, even though the dining plan was cancelled, and was no longer on the reservation. He said that "at some point" their "audit team would have caught this mistake," but I was like, you mean in like a year?
Anyhoo--my point--- don't always assume your Disney refund will go through.
