Remember these?

I have several in a box in the garage. Just need to throw them out. Got a couple of out of date desktop units as well.

Yep, I remember those. I didn’t have an eMachines though. Mine were both HP, I think. I had something called a Superdisk drive in the first one. It was before CD drives and it was a 3.5 inch disk with a lot more capacity than a regular disk. It was also the memory media for my first digital camera. The second one had the CD and the standard 3.5 disk drive, and I had a separate external Superdisk drive. After that, I went to laptops, of which I am on my fourth.

I particularly like that the eMachines claims to never become obsolete . . .

The unit that I had in college had a 3.5" disk drive, a larger zip disk(?) drive, and CD drive. Now my laptop has nothing. Just a port for two usb connectors of my choice. Currently a thumb drive and corded mouse.

Oh man, I had a Zip disc drive too. The days when you could use the college's internet to download music/software and load it onto a hefty Zip disc...

I wish I still had a 3.5 inch drive. I still have my 31 disc copy of Windows 95 and 31 disc copy of Microsoft Office 95 I think it is.
