Remember the Dog I had in my Backyard?

I think it was on Saturday, well he's back. Poor little guy. I don't know what's going on with his owners. This is twice in just a few days he's gotten out and no one has noticed.

The poor thing is mostly blind and we live on a street that has fast cars and heavy equipment going down it all day long. I have no idea how long he was roaming the neighborhood before I spotted him. The owners are usually gone first thing in the morning and I didn't spot him until 1 p.m. Even if he had avoided the traffic, it's over 90 out there today and he has no food or water left outside at his house!

I'm just frustrated that they aren't more observant of this poor puppy. On a good note, he's now not afraid of me at all and will even let me pick him up. Oh, and just to clarify, he has a big bowl of water and some cat food and pieces of turkey outside with him in case he gets hungry.

Is this a geriatric dog? We live in Kissimmee and would gladly try to hook you up with dog rescue if you need to find him a home. It is pretty obvious that the owners don't care. HOW SAD!

We have a neighbor a few doors down who keeps her yappy dogs out on the back lanai all day and night. It is so sad because, as you know, it has been HOT here lately and that lanai gets all the afternoon sun. I swear, if people don't want a dog they should just get a garden statue!!!

Have you called animal control? I would have called them the 2nd time this happened. I actually DID call animal control when my previous neighbor did this. They came within the hour, spoke with the family, and it never happened again. An animals life is worth a phone call IMO.

Given your neighborhood situation, I'm shocked you haven't done that.
