haa haa, I was thinking a few weeks back when I was going to add 3 days before my BC vacation. I called and gee, was able to get a value for what?? 125 something??(do not quote me on that) but it was up there!! I remember not to long ago, values were values, at 59 bucks a night and moderates you could get with an AP for 84 a night!!

ahh, a walk down memory lane!!:cloud9:

Actually last fall we had ASMu for 54/night with an AP. I thought the moderates were 89/night. Isn't the rate 64/ninght now? I think it is.

I remember after 911 the rooms were $49 a night.
last fall I got the $54 a night too! We also have AP.

We used to rent the value resorts for $49 with Florida resident discount during the off season. A couple years ago we rented points from a DVC member and stayed at Old Key West for $80 a night and boy did we get spoiled in a hurry! Haven't been back to a value resort since then. Now we are proud owners at Animal Kingdom Villas.
But yes, those value resort rates are missed.

I remember the days of the $49 value! Nov 03 was our first on site stay, we received a post card for $49 a night value and $109 4 day park tickets for FL residents...it was a great vacation!

Yep - we stayed at ASMu when it opened in '96 to save money. Mods were $89 a night then. That was before seasons, before preferred location, anything. You reserved a room and paid for it. We used to save a couple dollars a night with the corporate "Magic Kingdom Club" membership card, too.

I know! It was nice - you could get a discount over at DTD (Disney Shopping Village), a few other perks too. It's a shame.

My wife still has a couple of the tickets books from 1971-72 I think. The only tickets gone are the E tickets all the others are still in the book. Back when it was only one park.
