Remember Smash Hits............

O used to read both MM & NME and I always preferred MM but that's simply because they used to cover my then favourite bands more often than the NME. I enjoyed both, though!

I liked Smash Hits for about 6 months but "grew out of it" LOL.

I have never heard of Disco 45 Libby!

Nubedy - I used to do that as well :teeth: :rotfl:

Being born in 1971....I bought Smash Hits from about 1980 till about 1986.
At that time is was issued fortnightly and I had it 'reserved' at my local newsagent.
The lyrics were a major part of my and friends lives....so were the posters that covered our bedroom walls.

RIP SMASH HITS....You were a major influence and memory in my 'growing up' years and will never be forgotten! :grouphug:

I stoped reading around the time take that came on the scene! In our school people tended to like take that or nirvana!

I still have my copy of the first edition. Wonder if it's worth anything?

...the fortnightly pop magazine??? Remember it was the only place to get the song lyrics?? :cool1:

After 28 years it will no longer be published :(

I remember buying this and in particular getting the lyrics for '99 red balloons' :teeth:

Bye Bye Smash Hits :(

German or English Kaylee?

Wow, looking at the picture, mines in far better condition. I've actually got all the editions for 1 until 104. I kept them in a box in my bedroom when I was a kid and they are still there at my mum's house.
