Regulars will remember a few weeks back, I posted a "rant" about SW. DH had to fly to Fla. to visit critically ill DMIL. He bought SW one way down (for next day flight) and one way home on USAir. Well, I didn't realize at the time, but his ticket down was "flagged" from TSA. Which meant, no printing boarding pass online and he was security checked going thru.
Fast forward to today..... we find out this morning that DMIL passed away. DH immediately gets on the SW site to see what he can get (cuz SW was still cheaper to fly than USAir or United's "compassion" fares
) Well, he gets all the tickets we need (his for today, mine and DS for Sat. and a return for the 3 of us next Sat). So, I am SO positive he won't be able to print a boarding pass for a ticket he JUST bought..... wrong!! He was able to print his pass right after he printed the receipt for the ticket he just bought. I'm guessing he could do this cuz it was a round trip ticket--not one way. FWIW: If he would have purchased the same flights one way instead of roundtrip, it would have been more money. We actually called SW to make sure there were enough seats to buy tickets for the 3 of us to fly home on.
