Relocation To Northern Or Central Florida?

We've been eyeing the Ocala, Gainsville and Lake City corridor on I-75. Not near either coast and away from Orlando but still easy to get to.

DVC-Don~ It's hard to do over the Internet. I guess the only way to get a feel for the areas is to go there. I'd like to know how horrendous the traffic is from North of Orlando, heading North to Ocala. Of course, he'd have to face the traffic coming South in the evenings, so maybe it's a moot point! My dh doesn't mind driving, but I'd like to eliminate the areas which are just too far away. His last job involved a 70 mile commute each way!

I would love, love, love to move to Florida but how do you Floridians stand the hot humid weather? We're in New Jersey and it was so humid here today that my hair was practically standing on end.
