Hello!

We will be going to disneyworld for a family vacation in two years. Has anyone ever used the reloadable gift cards as a way for their kids to save and earn their own spending money for the trip?

I was thinking of getting them each a $5 card to start and as a way to tell them about the trip. I probably would just put the money they earn on the card before we actually go but don't want to buy the cards now and have them lose the $5 by the card expiring or something before we go.

Any tips? Thanks!

You have to load the card with $25 to start, but the gift cards have no expiration date. Right now they're in the process of working on the digital gift cards, so I would wait until then to do it. Otherwise every time you want to reload the card, you have to go to the Disney Store to do it. There's no online reload option at this time. Hope this helps!

Thank you!! Yes this helps. I wouldn't mind putting the full $25 on to start.....kids don't need to know its all on there and they can still think they are earning their spending money. Thanks again!
