Religious Celebrations

I grew up as a Christmas and Easter Christian. Parents were never more than lukewarm about religion. It's been well over 30 years since I've been to a church service, except for funerals or weddings.

We do! We go to church on a weekly basis, but we love going to the Christmas Eve candlelight services as well. We enjoy other Christmas traditions, but we celebrate Christmas primarily because of Christ.

Raised agnostic. Love Christmas and Easter! And Fourth of July and Halloween! All the same to us. But churches/synagogues/mosques/etc. are for other people's weddings and funerals, not holidays.

Well, sort of. I would contest that; I feel that various holidays are inherently about various religions. For example, Christmas celebrates the birth of the Christ Child and Easter marks His resurrection. There are other non Christian ones. But that doesn't mean that people not of said faiths cannot celebrate the holidays in a secular way... it would be rotten if they couldn't!
