Religion?

Atheist, same as most people I know.

It seems to be getting more and more widespread, too. :D

LOL!
Is TN part of the bible belt? If so, how many churches do you have in a 5 mile radius? LOL, I just wanna know if the stereotype is true.

I live in east TN and there really aren't that many churches in my county. About 8.

I'm Jewish.
I don't really practice it though.
I believe in God, Heaven, Hell, Angels, Demons, and the Devil.
Plus other things.
I would love to go to temple and learned everything, but my dad is Roman Catholic and was totally against letting me go.

Southern Baptist. Yes, we drink lemonade and sweet tea.

Wait. During service? I'm southern Baptist too and we drink lemonade/sweet tea in our youth group, but not during service. That would be so cool!!!

My beliefs consist of a mix of Buddhism and Hinduism. I'd like to say I'm part Agnostic as well, since I believe the existence of a god can be neither proven nor disproven.

I really don't believe in organized religion and I don't much care to align myself with one particular religion.

I am a Christian. I have put my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I hope you're rich. They're always begging for money. at least the one's up here are.

Thats the way our church is
They sent out letters a few months ago begging for money
Then my mom remember to bring her check book to give her $100 donation a week
But now she keeps on forgetting
She wishes they would take visas since thats all she carrys around.

They say a reason priests can't marry is because they want all of their money to go to the church instead of a family.

Christian - Catholic.

This thread...:scared: makes me worry about fights.

i am a Christian. i go to a Baptist church and i believe what they preach there. :goodvibes so if anyone has any questions, you can ask me. :D

I'm a pagan/wiccan.
I believe in reincarnation and all that jazz :).
I celebrate the 8 sabbats: Samhain (October), Yule (December), Imbolc (February), Ostara (March), Beltane (May), Midsummer/Litha (June - Lesser Sabbat), Lughnasadh/Lammas (August) and Mabon (September - Lesser Sabbat).

See, I'm really confused about my religion. I DEFINITELY believe in God and Jesus, I just don't accept what many churches preach. I don't believe in "homosexuality is a sin", "divorce is a sin", etc. My God is a forgiving God, one who justs wants each to love, not to hate and discriminate.

I'd say I'm 50% atheist, 50% buddhist. My family is all catholic, so i still buy them gifts for christmas, etc.

I am technically catholic.

I was baptised, took my communion and reconciliation, then "shocked the world" when I turned 15 and said

"yeah.. umm.. about getting confirmed.. I'm not going to be"

hence, I am a catholic, who is not confirmed, so I refer to myself as 'a catholic by default' or 'a lapsed catholic'.

I'm agnostic.

I often tell my mother on many occasions, that I dislike her decision of baptising me catholic. I would have prefered to have made my own decision when I got older. But if I have to fill out a form, if it is nothing to do with education I say agnostic or none, but if it is to do with education I just tick catholic to save confusion with my catholic schooling background.

Lets keep this thread nice and happy..
