Religion.

you're so smart. It's like you're just copying this from Wikipedia :p (I haven't actually looked at the Wikipedia page for Evolution, it just seems like it...)

I got the thing about the egg being first from a science show called What Would Happen If...? At some point of the show, they "lock 2 scientists (or something) in a room" and they discuss a chosen topic for 10 mins before reaching conclusion. That was their conclusion on what came first.

Has anyone used the term "survival of the fittest" yet? So like uh... antelopes have sharp hearing and are rather fast so they can get away from predators. They got this genetic mutation/trait (I don't know) over the years where those who were too slow were killed and those who were fast would then reproduce and have children who would most probably inherit the speedness (or would it be about their legs or something...)

Sorry if i'm making no sense. I'm rather tired...

Aww, thank you, and I promise I didn't steal it from wikipedia, I had to look up how to spell 'prokaryotes' though. (I do not know where I came across that egg thing). No, I don't think anyone has used the term "survival of the fittest" yet. It is a large part of natural selection, so oops on my part for missing it. (fittest can be anything from faster, more efficient, more attractive to mates, better group bonds..... anything beneficial.)

Speed has to do with leg length and muscles mostly, yeah.

Scienctific junk to me, is all this Evolution, Earth had a big explosion, type of stuff. THAT I don't believe and, to a point, think its idiotic.

Evidence may have been found, but that doesn't mean that God didn't create us. I'm sure there was no big expolsion that created our planet. God did it all by himself.

I respect YOUR beliefs but you need to be more respectful of others' beliefs. It's all a part of being a Christian. Calling others' beliefs idiotic is quite rude.

I believe God created this Earth, but I do not dismiss the beliefs of others.

thanks :)

Science seems to have proven many parts of the Bible at happening. Like the star seen above the Stable (well there was no mention of a stable in the Bible) was a comet that had past by at the time. The same comet has been mentioned about 3-4 times in the Bible and scientists have managed to track this comet back to see when it would have passed the Earth and they all seem to corresponde with the events in the Bible that seem to relate to it.

There's also something about the parting of the Red Sea (which might be the Reed Sea. Reed and Red are supposedly closely spelt in hebrew) and why Adam & Eve might have left the Garden of Eden.

Who said TV was bad for you? :p

You have to understand, these are my feelings.
I respect it.
I'm saying that I my opinion, think its idiotic, I'm not saying that everyone else might think it is. In my opinion it is, but that doesn't mean I don't respect what they believe.
They believe what they want. I'm not going to force them to change, or believe anything else.

thanks :)

I like scientific answers and they interest me. But my belief system is already in place. Scientific answers really do make me think, but I continue to believe what I believe. That is really interesting about the comet though.

You likely do respect their beliefs. However, calling a belief "idiotic" does not sound very respectful to me.

thanks :)

It isn't suprising that real life events worked their way into religious texts, really. Interesting, could you maybe provide sources for science proving things in the bible?

Another thing... I remember reading that a monk came up with the Big Bang theory, but nobody believed him. Then someone came along and gave scientific evidence (I don't know his name -_-)

I know alot of Christians who don't believe in Creation, believe in the Big Bang Theory and Evolution. One said to me that he prayed to God with his friends saying he would flip a coin 10 times, heads for Creation and Tails for Evolution and to lead the coin to the right side. Tails came up everytime. On the 11th flip, it was Heads.

That's what I believe it is. I'm saying the theory to ME is idiotic.

You can believe it. I think some things are idiotic in this world, but I would NEVER tell someone that just because they believe a certain way it's idiotic. What if someone told you that what you believed was idiotic? Doesn't make you very happy, does it?

It was in the newspapers in about 2004...

Then there's loads of shows on the History Channel about the Bible and providing the scientific evidence to them.

Random question. How many sheep went onto Noah's Ark?

What evidence is there Noah's Ark existed?

It doesn't really matter to me.
I stick with my belief, and as long as I know its not idiotic, then
I really don't care..

Two.. One male and another female.

I have a few questionbs for Christians.

1. Do you believe that humans are animals (which we are, I just know some Christians don't for some reason)?

2. If you don't believe in evolution, do you believe that the Earth is as old as it is (4.5 billion years)?

3. Do you dismiss the idea that life on Earth will end when the Sun turns into a red giant and will either burn up every living being or embody the Earth (I know that didn't sound very scientific but I'm not good at wording things)?

WRONG!!!

There were in fact 7.

It mentions that of every clean animal (kosher for the Jews) they go in 7. Every unclean animal goes in 2.

You've learnt something about the Bible :)

1. Nope. We came from dust, and we have the breathe from God. We were created in the image of God, animals, weren't. [ But they were created with God's loving touch! ]

2. That I'm not sure of.. I don't really think so. I don't believe it was that old, but then again, I don't know everything. I'll pray on that.

3. Yeah, life isn't gonna end that way. In our religion, God comes for us, to save us. Then things happen, and he makes a second Earth. I'm not sure how he will destroy Earth, its up to him. He's creative, so it probably be something cool. :D

1. Do you believe that humans are animals (which we are, I just know some Christians don't for some reason)? I believe we're animals. I think others don't because it says in the Bible that we're the only animals to have souls.

2. If you don't believe in evolution, do you believe that the Earth is as old as it is (4.5 billion years)? I believe in Evolution... another random fact (wow i'm coming out with alot of these on here...) if you put the Earth's timeline into a 24 hour clock, human's have only been on it for 24 seconds!

3. Do you dismiss the idea that life on Earth will end when the Sun turns into a red giant and will either burn up every living being or embody the Earth (I know that didn't sound very scientific but I'm not good at wording things)? Well I hope by then, humans would have managed to spread across the Universe so we'll still be around.

my answers :)

You might think its wrong, but its not according to me.
Its even in the Bible, Genesis 6:19-21. It says 2 of every animal. Not seven. In your religion, that maybe so, but you don't have to correct me, when I'm not wrong.
And I didn't learn anything new, because I always knew it was 2.
