eh looks like i'm the only lutheran on here.

we have to go to confirmation for three years. and i'm getting confirmed next year. we're not like strict rules can't do anything. actually we're not strict rules at all.

so i like my religion.

but i don't go to church most of the time.

My cousins are lutheran...

Do you regularly attend a "place of worship"?
I go to the United Church that's nearby, for the Christmas Eve service. Some Sundays when my Grandma asks me I go with her, but only because I can't very well say no to her.

I don't believe much anything about religion, and if it were my choice I wouldn't go to church at all. I suppose all of the rules and restrictions in religions, and having it forced on me at an early age doesn't help the situation much.

Whether or not I believe in God is one thing, but supporting a religion is another altogether. In my opinion, if you have faith in God, then why would you need to support a group of people benefiting from your religious beliefs? As I see it, making religious authoritive figures extremely powerful and wealthy, is not helping God.

Yes, every Sunday. And contrary to some peoples beliefs, we are Christian and we DO worship God.

Through tons of reading about it. It made the most sense to me.

I have a friend on the boards, who also follows Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I would never ''blast'' you based on your religion, all the LDS I have met are regular people, and really nice.

Your church might get a bad reputation because of a movie they made about a Mormon Bishop who was a little twisted. I saw it a while ago, and I know exactly how people could form a sterotypical image of LDS. Even though it was supposedly a true story, I think it was wrong to make it, because public viewers could take it totally out of proportion.

My views are more in lined with one of the more liberal churches but I stay with the Catholic church to show respect to my family's history and for political reasons.

Its hundreds of years old. It would be nice if it was updated, but it won't be. It'll stay the same forever.

I'm going to have to disagree. The Vatican knows that if it wants the church to survive, it will have to make some changes. There have been changes fairly recently, small ones, but they will have an effect.
