Can anyone recommend a reliable AAA agent you have used for booking a DL package through AAA? The one I'm working with right now is making me a little nervous. She doesn't really know a lot about Disney, and for some reason, she doesn't want to break down the package rate for me. When I break it down, it seems like a pretty decent deal, but I'm nervous that she's leaving something out. I'd rather work with an agent that seems more knowledgeable. Thanks for any help!

You know, Snurk, I had the same problem with our local AAA. I booked the GCH through them, finally, so I could get Enhanced FP, but I ended up booking air through another travel agency. AAA just made me nervous.

I booked our trip coming up and our last one in Oct. on line with the AAA web site. Any questions I had I asked here on the DIS boards before booking. I also compared the rate with Disney's web site and did also book air seperatly , as it was cheaper from America West directly. Oh , I also priced it out on getawaytoday and AAA was a much better deal!

I really do not believe there is one. We have tried 3 now and they all seem clueless. We have had no problems using online until recently. Hotel had rooms available but AAA could not show any availability.

Here is the number to my triple AAA person she knows alittile more because she just went to Disneyland. Irma Linda 907-334-4103. See if she can help you out. I think if they sale these packages they should have to visit Disneyland. :firefight

The reason it would show no availability, but the the hotel rate shows is the block of rooms allocated to AAA/WDTC was full. It doesn't mean the hotel is sold out, just that AAA (actually WDTC since AAA books their packages) has no more rooms at that particular hotel.

We just got back a few weeks ago from our family trip to DL. we used AAA, but here's what I ended up doing: I did all my research (a lot of it right here!) I called disney and made my own reservations and then I gave permission for AAA to call and "take over" our reservation number. Then I had a awesome pacgakge! I got all the AAA perks and half of the Disney perks too! I didnt expect that, but was happy to have it. What I wanted was the vacation the way WE wanted it! All worked out beautifully in the end! You might consider giving this a try... :mickeyjum

I started looking things up on my own, but was having trouble finding out certain information (for instance, about the dining plans), so I decided to go to a TA at a local company who are "Disney specialists." I was disappointed that the TA not only could not answer my fairly simple questions, she was just calling Disney to get them answered (and you know they answer only the questions posed! I could have done this myself and saved a lot of time!) She also wasn't finding the specifics I was looking for, even though I knew they would be available.

Anyway, from then on I researched it myself, found the package I wanted online through Disney, then told the TA that if she could book me that package for the same price or less, I would take it. And she did.

Now that I've learned so much here on the DISboards, I'll be doing it very differently next time!
