Okay, I am a big Disney fan, but my two sons are now teens, and have to go to Universal. We were there last week, and I found the park that sits by the water, and was very happy to spend some time here in solitude waiting for the kids to ride Simpsons (makes me nauseated). I never noticed this park before, and think it is great. Out of the main territory, very shady, and not busy at all. How long has this been here? Have been to Universal multiple times, and never noticed it til now.

I assume this is the shaded area with a large walkway going by the Garden of Allah replica along with the grassy hilly area with several smaller aslphat walking paths through it. That's the "Central Park" area, and has been there since the park opened. It's a nice quiet place to hang out, or lay on the grass, and a good spot to watch the nighttime show.

This area and probably the new London area are nice like that. If you want absolute quiet when the show isn't running, the area in front of Fear Factor is probably the quietest area in the park.

It's been there for as long as I can remember. It's a very nice area to relax in the shade and just take in the sights and sounds.

It's been there since US was built.
