Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Very surprised!!!

Nothing like moving a trip up just days before!!! I love it!!!

Okay, I had a heart attack right along with you when you said Disney told you to describe your luggage! No thank you is right!

Do we get to see the new glasses?

Surprised?? :rolleyes1

I actually think its the coolest, most spontaneous thing I have seen anyone do in awhile and I think its freak'n great! :woohoo: You must feel light as a feather, ready to float away on the nearest cloud. That is totally awesome.

Now don't go and get yourself too burnt out by the time I see you - A WEEK FROM YOUR DEPARTURE DAY!

Now get on with your bad self and finish those last minute preparations!

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
WOW, YAY, AWESOME, SO JEALOUS but SO EXCITED for you and Marc!!!!!!
Thank you!!

ps- would love to see your new glasses, too!:thumbsup2
Yes, having an awful hair day today. Hopefully tomorrow.

party::jumping1::hyper::jumping1:party:

Yipee! That is BIG news! Way to get the party started early!!
I'm very excited. I just was losing it today at work. I need to get away and soon! :rotfl2:

WOOT WOOT!! I'm so excited for you!!!!! YAY!!! YAY!!!! You're going to be at Disney on Sunday and you will be an AP owner!! YAY!!!!! I have been over the moon with giddiness for you since you told me earlier today!!!!
I'm so excited. I just can't wait.

:rotfl2:

Well...

Four dancing nanners are always better than seven!

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Yeah, I won't be describing our luggage. If I could put the Port Orleans tags on them, that would make me feel better. At least they'd be at Disney but they said no. I might call Magical Express tomorrow and see what they say.

Yes, you will get to see the new glasses. My hair is awful today so no pictures, but hopefully it will cooperate better tomorrow.

You just described how I feel perfectly. I was dragging today so badly at work. I was near tears. We need this vacation so badly. I could have been a big girl and waited the 7 days but I had to see if we could make it work and with a little luck we could. I am not a spontaneous person at all so this is a huge step for me. I love it. I'm so excited for us.

You look fabulous in spontaniety...you'll have to do it more often LOL!!!!

So you want the big news?

Ok...

I got new glasses!! :3dglasses

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Just kidding! Though I did get new glasses, they are super cute and I love them.

Anyways...I should have called this PTR,

"The Plans Keep on Changing".

Or

"How many times will LL call Disney Reservations?"

Either title certainly fits better than the one I went with because I've made some changes. 7 days out from the trip.

But wait.

We are not at 7 days anymore...

:rolleyes1

:rolleyes1

:rolleyes1

Ready?

We are at 4 days!!

Yes, folks. That's right. With 7 days to go until our fabulous Disney vacation, I added three nights and changed our flights so that we are now leaving on Sunday. :dance3:

Why?

Because for the last TWO months I have been trying to make plans with my family over Labor Day weekend.

Last Friday we finally agree that we are going to rent a boat like we did earlier this summer.

Then Earl shows up. Not so great boating weather. So we have no plans except to hang out at my parents house.

Marc & I have been whining all week to each other how we just want to be on vacation. Jen had to listen to me whine on the phone yesterday about how I'm ready for vacation. We are just DONE. Cooked. Spent. Finished.

That got me to thinking...why can't we just go to Disney early? Heck, we have time! We could drive.

Driving made Marc nervous. So then I hopped on Southwest and started to look...

To change the flights...not bad...oh my goodness...there are nights available at Disney....MUST CALL MARC!

That is how my day went at work today.

Since we aren't renting the boat anymore, I am getting a bigger Birthday present from my parents.

We are adding 3 nights at Pop Century for the AP bargain price of $179 for all three nights. We did have to pay to change our flights since the flights were more expensive...so for a grand total of $280, we are adding three nights on to our trip. Plus food and Marc's park tickets but in my fuzzy Disney math world, those don't count. :rotfl2:

There are a few sacrifices to make.

1. No Magical Express Yellow Tags. They told me I could "describe" my luggage to the ME desk and they could pick it up. No thank you. That nearly gave me an heart attack. So we will have to do the baggage claim thing at MCO.

2. We will have to head to DTD to buy my Annual Pass to get secure our AP rate at Pop. A small sacrifice to pay. So it will be a bit of a running around arrival day but for THREE extra Disney days. I'll take it.

No new ADRs have been made, no new plans have been made. We are going to fly by the seat of our pants.

Our flight leaves Manchester around Noon on Sunday, landing around 3:15. I'm so excited. We have been packing like mad tonight since we are leaving for my parents house on Friday and leaving for the airport from their house.

So in just 4 short days, we'll be making our way to Disney!:banana:

Surprised?? :rolleyes1

Awesome!

We have done all three options with Magical Express. John and I described our bags and gave them our baggage claim tickets and the bags showed up at the resort just a few hours later. Of course we have done the yellow tags and then we have picked up our bags at baggage claim and headed to ME. Flying Southwest you will have to go down to baggage claim A and then back up to cross over to side B and downstairs to ME.

Try and check into Pop before you run to Downtown. We have had an AP discount every time and I think only once have we ever been asked to show our AP when checking in. Just try it the worst that can happen is they say they need to see your AP and then you can just leave your stuff at luggage service and go get it. Also, I wouldn't go to Downtown to get it if Hollywood Studios is still open. The bus ride to HS is like 5 minutes from Pop and to Downtown is like 15 minutes plus getting back there are all the stops. Just my thoughts you can take them or leave them just thought some of it might help keep you in a relaxed mode.

:thumbsup2HOLY CANNOLI!!!:cool1:
That is freakin' awesome!!!

I had thought once that it seemed a little odd to me that you were off work so long before your trip, but then I thought - oh, yeah, holiday weekend etc.

I'm so psyched for you!!! Go enjoy and have fun! Think also, that you are saving the money you would have spent on the airport hotel the night before too, right? What about an AP for Marc? Will he use enough days to make it worth it? I think if you use 10 days it's a good deal. Then you can hop all you want.

Happy Early Birthday!!! Great gift if you ask me!
:bday:party:

All very good suggestions! I didn't even think of Hollywood Studios. Sounds like a much better option. :thumbsup2

So...would you recommend letting them deal with our bags without the yellow tags?? I didn't even think about the baggage claim tickets that I could give them. Hmmm...I don't want the hassle of going to baggage claim if we don't have too.

Four VERY happy dancers for the FOUR days you have left.

WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.

We didn't have any problems. We described the suitcases to the best of our ability and gave them our baggage claim tickets. My luggage is pink so that I wasn't too worried about, but John's was black. He had tied the handles with colored ribbon. Getting your luggage yourself shouldn't be to bad though. It is just two adults no kids or strollers to worry about and by the time you get off the plane walk down the terminal, get on the monorail to the main terminal, and then go down side A your luggage will probably be coming out.

I'm not even going to tell you what I thought you were going to say.....:rolleyes1

Woo Hoo, you are going to Disney early!!!

Lucky Leslie and Marc!!! :yay::yay:

AWESOME! So glad I had a second to check. I have loved all your updates, but have just barely cruised by of late!

Have a wonderful trip!

Holy Disney Fuzzy Math Batman!!!!

That's AHHHHHHHHHHHH MAzing!

And so something I wish I could do!!!!!!!!

Now you're tempting me to add more nights on my trips! Shame on you LL! Shame!

:lmao:

Nothing like cutting your countdown in half nearly!

So excited for you guys! And what a great deal!! $280 for three more days at Disney?

Don't mind if I do!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Now today is also worth celebrating!!!
 :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:  :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Last day of work and school for TWO whole weeks!!!! ENJOY your Vacation and getting ready to leave on Sunday!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

Leslie - On another PTR I learned that they don't always ask to see your AP when you check in... so if you are taking ME to POP first to drop off your luggage, you should try to check in before running over to DTD. They might let you! :thumbsup2

Congratulations on extending your trip!!

:cool1: AWESOME!!! :cool1:

Seriously, you already had the time off and that is not much more money to just get this long awaited vacation going!!

(I don't think it will change your mind but Shelby did the describe your bag thing with ME and had no problems at all. She did use the Disney luggage tag to help out a bit but her bag arrived with no issues at all!)
