Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Good for you!!! Congrats on getting past that plateau and signing up for the marathon. :thumbsup2

The plans look good. Parasailing, huh? I guess you're braver than I am. I don't think I could bring myself to trying that. Good luck on reaching "Tomorrowland". Sounds like you're on your way!

I'm in the mood for an update, how about you?

I think I've decided that if I reach my Tomorrowland goal that I will be parasailing. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind...especially if I think of something that interests me more. A massage is my close second but as that is a little more money, we'll see.

I'm happy to report that I've FINALLY lost some weight. I hit a low on May 5th and I haven't been able to get under that since then. I've been fluctuating with the same 6 or 7lbs. UNTIL TODAY! Yayayaya! That means I've got about 32lbs to go to reach Tomorrowland and parasailing. :dance3:

I also have some exciting news that relates to Disney in the future. For about a year now, I've thought how cool it would be to compete in the Princess 1/2 Marathon. Or any Disney 1/2 marathon for that matter. I'm a long, long ways from that though. I've been reading If U Had Wings' PTR for her Wine & Dine Run in October. She is VERY inspiring. You should check her PTR out. So yesterday I took a HUGE step...I registered for a 5k on September 25! :scared1:

I'm starting a Walking a 5k program today, it lasts for 8 weeks and then I'm going to do the Couch to 5k running program that is 8 weeks. That will bring me right up to the race.

Parasailing is lots of fun...when I did it, I remember think it would be very thrilling and I suppose going up was, but more than anything I remember it be relaxing. You're up there with the wind in your hair and a spectacular view. I would love to do it again, especially at Disney. And if you decide to do a massage instead...well, nothing beats a good massage. Enough said! :thumbsup2 Congrats on the lost weight and signing up for the 5k! You give me inspiration in my weight loss and fitness journey :goodvibes

YAY!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: CONGRATS on the weight loss!! it really stinks to hit a plateau and not lose weight for a couple of weeks but then with some hard work, it kicks back in!!!  I dont weigh in again till next week but ive been really mixing up my workout (spinning, running, and some weight training) so i know i will be successful! i think you are taking a great step by running a 5k! its a terrific goal and I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! :goodvibes

And I think it is fantastic that you signed up for the 5k! Training for that will also you get you so much fitter. You will be amazed at the amount of energy you will have at WDW which will be a wonderful side effect!! :goodvibes

Still hoping our Meet works out with your revamping mania!

I LOVE that you will be training to do the 5K!! I am too, and although it's hard work, it's VERY worth it. I can't even begin to tell you how much it's helped my self-image and self-esteem. EVen though there's not ONE bit of difference in the flab factor, I feel so good about doing something that I know is good for me!!
Of course our meet will still work out. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping the training will keep on track with exercising. I don't want to end up in last place.

Congratulations!!! Awesome job. Here, have some dancing potassium.

I'm doing a 5K this weekend, for charity, but walking it. I'll be detailing how that goes on the Rum Runners thread. :goodvibes

I'm using this weekend's 5K walk as a precursor to starting C25K. I love me some walking but I'm a bit nervous about starting the running piece.

I SO get you. ::yes::

:dance3:
You can never have too much dancing potassium. :lmao:

I can't wait to hear how your 5k goes!

New to posting here on the DIS, but want to say Hi! :wave2:
Love your trip plans so far and congrats on signing up for the 5K
Welcome!! I love your user name. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2Great job on losing! I know it is hard but so worth it in the end.

I want to try the Couch to 5K. MommyMcQueen has a pretrip and she just finished the program and ran her first 5K. There are several opportunities around here to do a 5K so that might be my goal for the fall.

I think the 1/2 Marathon would be fun! Good luck!

Erika
I might even see about signing up for another 5K. Not sure though, we'll see how the first one goes.

I'm so proud of you!

Look at all the DISers getting in shape and running! Gives me some serious motivation for after this baby is born, let me tell you! :goodvibes
Motivation is key. I am severely lacking lately.

Wow! :worship: Good for you for signing up for a 5K! Such an inspiration!! :goodvibes
Thanks! I'm super nervous about it but I think it will be good.

Good for you!!! Congrats on getting past that plateau and signing up for the marathon. :thumbsup2

I love ferris wheels and things like that, I just don't love roller coasters with all the turns and drops. I think parasailing will be fun and not super scary.

I'm glad I can give you inspiration, it's a hard journey and you have to take every little thing you can get! :thumbsup2

I think the 5k will keep me focused this summer. Plus it's in my hometown so I'm bound to see people I know, and I won't want to embarass myself. :rotfl: That keeps me motivated. :lmao:

I'm so excited for our trip. I think the walk between POR and POFQ will be a good way to keep exercising while I'm at Disney.

You get a cool medal for it, too, and I bet there are pins as well! :thumbsup2

I am all about the swag!

I won't lie...it helps me to stay motivated. :rotfl2:

I'm also thinking of cute princess-y type things I can incorporate into my running outfit for the 1/2 Marathon when I get there. :rolleyes1

83 days! :yay:

I'm hoping that your birthday at MK is a blast! It's a great place to celebrate it.

The Boardwalk sounds like a great idea to me. I'd recommend a trip there. :thumbsup2

:cool1: Wooo Hooo for losing more weight!

 Woo Hoo again for registering for a 5 K! I have to say, it's something I've thought about several times over the past several months! I need to do something to get my big old butt (big being the operative word ;) ) in gear!
