Thank you. I'm really trying hard, it's not always fun but it's totally worth the hard work.

Thanks! I figured I'd be mentioning my band pretty often so thought I should explain it for those that were interested. :goodvibes

Leslie:

What an inspirational post! It is phenomenal what an effect this surgery has had on you and your husband.

I so appreciate you sharing with us. I think I mentioned to you in a prior post that I am beginning this process. I am almost one month into my 6-month diet requirement and have lost 9 pounds doing Weight Watchers. Today was a rough morning and I was really starting to stray off track. Stress plays such a part in my overeating. Your post helped me get back on and deal with the day.

I am sooo excited that you are getting to celebrate at Disney in September. You will have so much fun. We were there last year during that time and had so much fun.

I hope all is going well at school for you.

Erika

Hard work is NEVER very fun, but necessary to make the changes we know we need to. I recently started "running" and it's kicking my butt! But I can already notice differences in my energy level and just self-esteem in general. But it's painful and frankly, well.... it stinks.

You look amazing. I love the before & after photos- there is a huge difference! You are also very strong to have gone through so much with the fills & moving the port. You continue to inspire me. I need you to come to my house & yell at me to get off of my butt!

This surgery has been the best thing ever for the both of us. It takes a lot of hard work but it really has been worth everything.

I'm glad my post helped you stay on track. I understand that feeling very well. If you ever need encouragement or someone to vent too, please don't hesitate to PM me. :goodvibes

I want to take up running someday. When I work out on the Wii, I actually like the running games. I don't like to run outside but I'll run in my living room. :rotfl:

We live close enough where I could go to your house....:lmao:

There is a huge difference in the photos and I really need to remind myself of that on my bad days. :rolleyes1

All I can say is Wow! :goodvibes You are an inspiration!:) I admire how dedicated you and Marc have both been. All of the good things that are coming into your life right now are totally deserved and I know you have worked hard for them.

What an inspirational post. Big hugs to LL and Marc for all your hard work and dedication!! Keep up the fantastic work! :goodvibes:grouphug:

You guys look amazing! It really is inspirational to see this and read your blog.

I think you should get the celebration pins when you guys go in September -- if anyone asks, just tell them that you are celebrating being there, or celebrating being back there with your hubby. No one has to know the "real" reason, right? :goodvibes Keep up the amazing work and dedication!

Congrats on the transformation. I love seeing all the pics. I wish you luck at your next fill appt.

Maybe we will. I still need to call and put a Mansion room request on our room only reservation. Maybe I'll note that we are celebrating. Oooh! I get to add my birthday too. :woohoo:

Congrats on the transformation. I love seeing all the pics. I wish you luck at your next fill appt.
Thank you. I still need to make that appointment. I'm totally dragging my feet.

LL....simply amazing! You guys look fabulous. Congratulations. I am sorry you have had so many problems with your port so I wish you much success with your port relocation surgery. Its all downhill from here.

You guys totally deserve a September trip. You are going to have such a wonderful time. I am so excited for both of you!

Thanks, MEK! So far so good with the port relocation surgery, just need to have that first fill.

Do you have a timeline as when you should do your next fill?? I bet your experience this upcoming time is going to be NIGHT vs DAY!!!!

I went back and re-read your post, it really does inspire me! I think I'm going to have to bookmark it so when I'm feeling defeated I can go back and look at it!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Ohhh Leslie, I am so very proud of you and:goodvibes your dedication that you have put forth on this very difficult journey  You both look amazing, so happy and ultimately healthier :goodvibes
Thank you for posting the pictures and description of your procedure....it really helped put things in perspective when Sue and I went a few weeks ago....I eat at Disney like every meal is my last meal :rotfl2: It was hard for me to understand the getting "stuck" concept but it did happen to her a few times and is very unpleasant. She also thinks that flying did something to her band to make it tighter and it took a day or two for that to subside.
Continued success to the both of you

Tracy

I have one of those random updates for you to enjoy.

First the good news! I sold my camera. :scared1: I'm a little sad that I'll be sending it off to it's new owner tomorrow but it I sold it for $200 so that is most of the money I need for the two cameras I'm debating between.

I'm leaning towards the one pictured first. Both have that awesome sweeping panoramic photo ability. I can just imagine all the panoramic photos I could take in Disney. They are both around the same price and the first one has more of the same specifications as the camera I sold.

I'm VERY excited to go camera shopping, hopefully this weekend. :woohoo:

I told you about finding a bathing suit top...didn't I? If not, I found it at Target last week on clearance for $9.98! I found bottoms at Walmart for $16 on Saturday. A bathing suit for $26. Yayaya.

Isn't it pretty?

I love the neck line..is that what it is called?

I've been searching pin lots on ebay as well. I haven't cracked and bought any yet but I know that is going to be my main souvenir activity at Disney. Back in January, I had wished that I had brought more pins to trade. I like the thrill of the hunt apparently.

Here is my pin board in my kitchen.

Have you read about the new tour Disney is offering?

"Inspiration Through Walt's Eyes"

Here is the description from the Disney website.
"In this insightful 3-hour tour, Disney fans will experience a touching acknowledgement of the contributions made by Walt Disney and how his vision and dedication made him an American icon. Learn about the pivotal moments in which the smallest details in his daily life became Walt's point of departure for creating everything from never-before-seen techniques in animation to new worlds in family entertainment.

Your tour host will share stories that reveal how Walt Disney was inspired to pursue his dreams, and how his desire to succeed influenced those around him. As you walk along glamorous Sunset Boulevard in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, you'll be reminded that his innovation as a filmmaker earned Walt a record number of Academy Awards®, including 59 nominations and 26 Oscars®. Later, travel backstage at Event & Decorating Support to see how this talented team continues his legacy by ensuring that each grand-scale signature event is staged with expert detail.

You may not know that Walt Disney's own idyllic childhood memories became the focal point for developing Main Street, U.S.A. Discover how his concepts became reality through Disney Imagineers' "language of vision." Just steps from this famous street, enter the almost-legendary Utilidoor system and be introduced to the hidden corridors that originated from
Walt Disney's vision of a multi-layered city.

Do I even have to say how much I want to go on this?? I called and asked how much it is and it's $99 per person which is a little pricey but I think it would be worth it. I thought at first that Marc might not be interested and that I could go do it one morning but when I told him about it he thought it would be interesting so he wants to go too. So...that means I have to re-work out itinerary...again. I told Marc I'd be willing to give up some of our sit down meals (not Narcoossee's or Brown Derby but some of the other TS) but he said we could probably swing it without giving up anything so we'll see how it works out.

So there you have it, a completely random update. :thumbsup2

Thank you!

I have heard about flying making your band feel tighter. I didn't experience that in January but with having more fill I might in September.

Getting stuck really is unpleasant and you can't really do anything until you take care of the problem or suffer through it. Both options pretty much stink.

Congrats again on the weighloss and lifestyle change, you look great!

Love your pins and how you display.... might have to steal that idea!

Cute suit too!

I hope you do that tour, then I can read all about it!

What a great, amazing post, LL!! Thanks for sharing it with us!! You and Marc have SO much to be proud of!! I remember you posting about the surgery last year and here you are! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: Amazing!!!! Keep up the good work!!:goodvibes
