And a :bday: to Cherie! party:
Oh! Happy Birthday Cherie!!!

Greetings from Disneyland!
The trip's been lots of fun--we fly home tomorrow. :sad1:
Can't wait to catch up on this TR--looks like I have a lot of reading to do!

Happy birthday Cherie! :goodvibes
Hi Emily!!! I hope you are having fun! (Of course you are!)
I can't wait until next month when I am there! I was compiling a list with Jenny and Keith the other day of all the DisneyLAND-specific treats that I can't wait to indulge in! I am looking forward to hearing all about your trip!

Phew all caught up, I have a couple of days off of the DIS and you fill tons of pages!!!
Hi Jo!

nope....

I'm going to take the kids to see "up" tonight tho.....

I learned many years ago not to expect much

Up looks cute. let us know how it is!

Keith your new niece is such a cutie.

Jenny great start but OMG how did you stay awake that long???? And the villa looks fabulous!

I have no idea. Pixie dust? ;) The Villa was amazing! I would stay there again in a heartbeat! :lovestruc

Love the picture, K! She is soooo cute! (as are all of your nieces!)

Thank you! And yes, they are! :)

At first I just thought the lightning was cool. Until we kept going toward it. And then dropped to its level. Then it was no longer cool. :scared:

It was kinda pretty, actually.

OH dear, I've never thought about lightning hitting the plane. I have a new worry now. Lucky for us our flight will be less that 2 hours.

Don't worry! It rarely happens, and I read that even if it does get struck, that doesn't necessarily mean the plane will go down. I used to HATE flying, but I am pretty used to it by now, and it's still the safest way to travel! (I know, total cliche)

Thanks for posting your update Keith. You're such a great writer.

Thank you! :)

Love the picture of your niece!

I definitely don't want to be around lighting in the sky on a plane but what are you gonna do??

It was great that you guys got to go together!:goodvibes

Thanks Marshay! And yeah, it was great.

:thumbsup2 Love the update Keith. Your new niece is a doll! :cutie: Love the hair.

Thanks Jenny!

Aren't you every child's walking jungle gym? Kids :lovestruc you!!!!

:p - And I heart kids!

:faint: Packing the day of is just silliness, wackiness, craziness!

Nope! Gotta respect the 24 hour rule! Michael can relate.

Boycott McDonald's? :rotfl: :lmao: You are so goofy. You look sane but really, it's debatable. ;) :goodvibes

Screw McDonald's! Can I say screw on the Dis? :rotfl:

I was all set to post more last night when I walked away from the laptop for 2 minutes & came back to a dead computer.

(cue cute music) "Hi, I'm a Mac..."

Nate was trying to figure up how many points it would take to live there for 6 months out of the year.:rotfl:

Nate is my homeboy.

I love your niece! She is just too precious!!!:cutie: And that hair!:rotfl:

Thanks Jenna!

I love My Name is Earl..show cracks me up

Tracy has converted me! I love it. And in turn I introduced her to The Big Bang Theory.

Seriously. It was all I could do to not freak out! Whenever I am tempted to freak out on a plane, I always look at the flight attendants though. I figure as long as they look calm and unconcerned, everything must be okay!

I used to do the same thing! lol - "As long as the flight attendants aren't running through the aisle screaming, we're good."

It is so much more fun flying together! Besides, a stranger might have been irritated with me for poking them about the lightning!

Oh, I was irritated! :p J/K

Seriously! He won't eat so much as a single fry!

Death first! And you saw that my boycott worked. Fear the boycott!

This post took me 20 minutes. :lmao:

Day -1 (or Day 0) Continued

Great update, Jenna!

Michael came over, looked at me and said: I will have to do more research. That is what his tombstone will say: Father, Husband, Firefighter, Friend, Researcher. ;)

Mine's gonna say: "I'd rather be alive."

Me and Jenna. Not sure if I am grabbing her **** or broccoli

Judging by the smile on her face, it wasn't the broccoli!

keith - i think your little niece is just ADORABLE! and to me it doesn't look like she's saying "no" but instead like she's pondering her thoughts.

Thank you! More like pondering who the heck I was! lol

The BCV lobby and pool are awesome (that's all I have seen). Our good friends bought there and could not be happier!

Hey, that's us! :cool2:

For sure...we talked last night and decided to wait till our next trip, which is planned for Oct 2010. We're taking my 2 daughters and hopefully our DVC friends will be there as well. Want to do Food & Wine Fest! Perfect time to buy into it. She looked last night and sadly, I was leaning towards SSR, but she really really likes the Beach Club Villas. I've lived by the beach for 24 years, but her being from Okla, it's very exciting for her. I just want DVC, and I'll be happy at ANY of them. ;)

Hi Soulmates! I too grew up with the ocean. So much in fact that I could see it from my living room window. But once I toured the Beach Club, it was the only resort I wanted to buy into. Stormalong Bay is hands down the best pool in all of WDW. And the BC's proximity to Epcot is unreal. Tracy and I timed the walk, and from the Intl. Gateway to the first BC building... 3 minutes! 5 minutes to the lobby. My advice is to tour both SSR and the BC, and decide then. And don't let the fact that the BC is "sold out" discourage you. I went on a waiting list, and only waited a month! This Dec we want to stay at the Boardwalk or BLT to mix things up, but they're both full. I can't tell you how glad I am that I am "stuck" with the Beach Club. That's why I waited instead of just buying what they were pushing. I said to myself if a situation occurs where everything is full at the 7 month mark and I'm "forced" to stay at my home resort, I want that to be my favorite DVC resort.

Than it must be worth the wait!! My DP isn't one to be pushed, (though I try) so my plan (devious aren't I) is while were there in Aug, just take a tour of BCV and let her experience it...that way she's got the rest of the year to KNOW this is what we want.

:thumbsup2

Thanks, Jenny! If only I were in disney world celebrating!

Happy birthday!

Greetings from Disneyland!

Have a great rest of the trip!

Phew all caught up, I have a couple of days off of the DIS and you fill tons of pages!!!

I know, right?

Keith your new niece is such a cutie.

Thank you! :)

The Villa was amazing! I would stay there again in a heartbeat! :lovestruc

The Villa was dope!

Lol, K! You always crack me up :)

Are you typing an update now?

:p

No.

btw, if you posted more often, it would be easier to catch up with replies! ;)

:ssst:

Keith said screw and Big Bang :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

You're a dirty birdie!

I don't know, that broccoli is pretty good. :thumbsup2

Mm-hmm. You may fool these nice people, but you can't fool the guy who just spent 6 days with you two!

Congratulations on your DVC purchase! Did I read it right that you can thank the fire at 'Ohana for that? Because of the fire you had to wait to be seated, so your husband talked to the DVC kiosk guy, set up a tour....and yada, yada, yada -- you're an owner.

We'll be taking our first DVC trip in less than a month -- AKV Kidani.

:wave2:

Hey, that's us! :cool2:

It was sick! :lmao:

:rotfl2: In the first "exhausted" photo, Michael and I are mirroring the exact same body language. Quite insightful. I think that must have been pre-spray fan. ;) Poor Chloe looks like she's being scolded but if I recall I was grilling her about how tired she was. For those who don't know, Chloe has a mild seizure disorder that she will grow out of but in the meantime, total exhaustion can and has brought on mild seizures during sleep. :sad1: We really try to allow her to be able to voice before she gets to that point. It's important for her to recognize her energy levels.

I love the bottom photo. That's of us and the kids all crashed out at the Poly. :rotfl: What a sight we must have been. Total sweaty rif-raf. :hippie:

Jenna,

I was in the 50s section in 08 with a similar view.......:cloud9:
I thought it was pretty cool! We were only there for one night, so I really didn't even see most of the resort. The kids didn't even go over to the main pool. I thought the lobby was pretty neat though! Of course, I didn't get any pictures.:sad2:

Jenna...great photos of Pop

We stayed there two years and loved it. The theming is so much fun and I love that music on the buses :goodvibes
We didn't take the Pop buses. What do they play? I like how they play Jimmy Buffett on the OKW buses. So laid-back feeling!:thumbsup2
Yes, from our bestest friends, and it ONLY cost $1020 for a week!! I'm over the moon about that!! That is less than what we were going to pay for CBR!
Fantastic!:yay: You'll love it! The Wilderness Lodge holds a special place in my heart. I truly think it's my fav!:lovestruc

Wow! It's been jumping in here since yesterday!

Love the pictures and updates Jenna and Jenny! Oh how I wish we were still back on Day 1.......
Me too, Tracy! :sad1: Me too!

Hi! Glad you've been having a great time! Have a safe flight home!
(cue cute music) "Hi, I'm a Mac..."

Nate is my homeboy.
I know you've been trying to sell me on the beauty that is MAC, but I don't think I'd even know how to turn one on!

And I don't think Nate's ever been called a homeboy before!;):rotfl::rotfl2:

I didn't notice that about you & Michael, but now that you mention it.....

And that was definitely pre-spray fan!

What part of PA are you from?

I'm originally from northwest PA -- about an hours drive east of Erie. But now live in southeast PA, near the borders of Delaware and Maryland, about 45 minutes from Philly.
