I have a quick question.. My boyfriend and I have been going out for a year and almost a month. We haven't met each others' parents yet, and I was wondering when is an appropriate time to do so, and who is suppose to meet who's parents first? like, am I suppose to meet his parents first? or is he suppose to meet mine first? I'm sure there are no right or wrong answers. I was just wondering what you guys think.

You should have met each others parents 8 months ago...
It doesn't matter who meets who's parents first... just as long as you do it.

Hmm wow.
My crush whom i went out with last weekend, met my parents then. And we aren't ever dating yet. But I think that your parents should meet him first, I'm not really sure why, thats just how its always been for me and my sister I guess because they are the ones picking us up.

Anyway, whenever you feel ready, i would've met them as soon as you guys were going for 6 months.
Thats just me though.

There are definitley no right or wrong answers to this, you could meet his first, or he could meet yours first.
But after dating for over a year you definitley should know each others parents. IMO

And secondly there is no 'right time' to meet his parents. When you feel it is right, do it. Don't do it because 'you should'.

Thanks everyone.. Yeah, I had a feeling that I should have done it earlier. This is my first relationship though, so I wasn't sure..I will get on that soon. Also, I apologize, because I didn't know there was a thread where I can put this kind of thing. Next time, I will do that.

If he's got a sporting event coming up that you know his parents will be at then go to that and when he's done get him to introduce you. Likewise if you have any kind of sporting events or something like it that your parents will go to.
