I read this on another board and thought it was fun!

I personally am not related to anyone well-known.

My professor's nephew is the drummer of The Killers.

My 5th grade student teacher played for the Minnesota Moose.

Jesse Ventura was a football coach at my high school when I was a sophomore. He was also governor of MN at the time.

Well I am ...Monkeyboy...nuff said

Hmm, can't think of anyone off hand who I'm related to personally....

My professor has a half-cousin (whatever that is...) who is related to Joe Jackson (Michael jackson)

A good friend of mine, her cousins are the Jonas Brothers....

Nope...

I'm 'supposedly' a decendent of George Washington, something like a great, great, (add more greats) niece...but isn't everyone? :lmao:

And my sis had a date with Kenny Chesney before he was famous...

The closest I am to someone famous is my cousin.
He is a former Pro Snowboarder. He competed in the X-Games...
his name is Jason Ford.

I am supposedly related to the Unsinkable Molly Brown (her maiden name and mine are the same) from Titanic fame.

My children's great-grandfather x 16 was Geoffrey Chaucer. Does that count? :rotfl:

Well, my father-in-law's cousin was the grandfather of a kid who was really good in basketball. If you lived in Indiana, you would have heard of this kid. Bobby Knight was recruiting him for IU when he was in junior high.

My ancestors were cousins of some sort to Benedict Arnold.

I'm related to Elton Trueblood, who was an author, theologian, educator, and philosopher. He gave the eulogies for both President Hoover and Lou Henry Hoover.

If you meet a Trueblood or a Gerkin, I'm related.

My husband has a very famous cousin. Nothing on my side of the family.

AWESOME!!!!!

I'm not related to anyone famous, but a model who has the same last name as me dated George Clooney  don't think there's any relation there.

My grandmother was related to Anthony Hopkins..second cousins, I think. I don't know him and probably never will.
Also related to Leonard Whiting who played Romeo in the older movie version of Romeo and Juliet. Not sure what the actual connection is.
Not related, but Zack Galifinaikis went to school about 5 miles from where I work. I know a few people who went to school with him. And this is a very small town, so it's kind of a big deal in our county.
My best friends sister went to military school with Dale Earnhardt Jr, and my cousin went to school with him when he was at public school.

My uncle played for the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. He then went on to be an assistant coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, that was back before football players were rich and famous. Does that count? He has a super bowl ring from Super Bowl IV. His name is Darrel Brewster. I call him Uncle Pete.

I am related to both the CHASE bank (when it was a family-owned business and not a huge corporation) as well as the Chase that signed the Ceclaration of Independence.

My aunt was an opera singer and my grandmother was an actress.

Oh yes, that counts. Esp since he won the Super Bowl! Awesome :)

Not related (or through marriage) to anyone famous. I do have a few 'brushes w/ fame':

-My college roommate has a famous singer cousin- Sheryl Crow. She was a backup singer for Michael Jackson in the mid 80's and my roommate got free tickets to his concert from her.

-I lived on the same hall my freshman year with Gwen Torrence, the US Olympic gold medal winning sprinter.

-My brother's college roommate dated the girl who later married Herschel Walker, the famous UGA and later USFL/NFL running back.

-I once served ice cream to Michael Stipe of REM. I worked at an ice cream parlor in downtown Athens, GA and he came in and had SnickerRipple in a waffle cone.

-One of my best friends in HS was friends with Amy Carter- he got to go to a movie with President Carter, Mrs Carter, and Amy in the mid 80's. He said it was weird, sitting in the dark next to the former leader of the free world.

I'm related to Mackenzie Rossman, who played Ruthie on 7th Heaven. I think she's my grandma's sister's granddaughter or something odd like that.

I was always told I was a descendant of Ulysses Grant. Not sure if that's accurate or family lore. :confused3
