deb, if you get what is blowing through here,, our temps dropped about 35 degrees in two hours...it was 75 at 6 pm. its 45 now......i was sweating at 8 while helping clear the parking lot, and freezing at 10:30 when i left hte store. happy thanksgiving every one.

morning folks. sitting here watching the parade... need to go to a freinds house and help measure his garage for conversion into usable space, which will require a shower. and clothes. and a jacket cause this dang wind is COLD

Hi gang and happy Thanksgiving!

Got up and went over to a few of our shelters to check on the volunteers. They were doing an amazing job and SO full of energy! It was great to see considering I'm a bit under the weather with a head cold or something that's bugging the crap out of me.

Met up with Joe in Manhattan afterwards and took a nice walk in the amazing weather. Enjoyed the empty city. Pretty neat to stroll about and not have hoards of folks jostling you from all sides.

Then went to a friend's for dinner, enjoyed some great company and now we're back home.

I plan on going to bed super early so I can get up super early and tackle the Black Friday madness. Never done it before so I'm looking forward to seeing some good WWF fights over Elmo's or whatever is good this year.

The trick is Vaseline...then when they try to grab you as you run past them to the good deals the other shoppers just slip right off and you have the edge.

We have an EMac and a MacBook! I use the MacBook and DH the EMac!

I think it's pretty cool. I haven't learned everything yet, but it's really easy to use. I don't like the fact that when you buy it, you only get the Word and Excel and powerpoint for a 30 day trial. Then they make you buy it. When I bought my Dell, you got a program for free. Albeit, not a great one, but you could still write a letter.

But, I went to the guy who runs the Mac lab in our school and asked him if he had it. 30 day free trial!? That's outrageous when you spend so much for a computer.

Just sayin'.

Otherwise, I think the macbook is pretty cool. I can't wait to figure out all the things I can do with it.

It even comes with a remote for watching a dvd!
