Rehoboth Beach, Del?

Sawgrass is on the bay side of Rehoboth. To get to the boardwalk you would have to drive and find a place to park. Good places to park are on the northern end behind the Henlopen Hotel.
The drive would not be to far from Lewes. The biggest problem would be traffic on the holiday weekend.
The ferry ride is approximately 70 minutes and for the life of me I can't remember the price for a car.

Thank you again for all the great info!!

Oh, one other thing we did last year that was a lot of fun was a Pirate Cruise. We took it out of Lewes. It was a lot of fun.

A Pirate Cruise!!! Well my kids would love that. I'm going to see if I can find some info about that. Thanks for the suggestion!:thumbsup2

Lewes is a nice little town...you could spend a morning or all day there. Nice little shops and restaurants, the Zwaanendaal (I'm sure I spelled that incorrectly!) Museum. Coffee and pastries at Notting Hill, there is a great ice cream place.

Some good restaurants in Bethany Beach: Bethany Blues, Sedona, Patsy's, The Parkside.

You could drive down to Assateague (below Ocean City) and see the wild horses.

We love to go to the beach at the Indian River Inlet, not too far from Rehoboth to the South. My kids like to watch the boats come in and out and the fishermen on the rocks. It's only $8 for the day, the beach is fairly clean, bathhouse and snack bar available.

Grotto Pizza-gotta try it!

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, I'll post later if I think of anything else.
