Does my officiant need to be at the rehearsal? They are going to charge an additional $100 to be there, and it would mean I have to change the day/time as they have a wedding on my rehearsal day.

I think it's important that the officiant be there, because he/she runs the show and is the only one who knows exactly how the order of service will go.

I mean, I guess you can practice walking down the aisle with your wedding coordinator calling the shots, but s/he won't know your officiant's order of service.... :confused3

I agree, I think it will be $100 well spent. I know it's hard to justify small amounts sometimes (I just spent the first part of my lunch hour cutting $3 -$50 items on my Floral BEO) but I think you should have your Officiant there - It will help ease your stress as well because you won't be left wondering how sand ceremony or whatever is going to work....

Could they send someone in his place so that you don't have to change your day/time?

When we had our rehearsal Rev. Jack basically took over the whole things since he knew how the service should run. Our planner basically stood back and let him do it all so I think it is important to have them at the rehearsal.

I have taken your (and my planner's) advice and decided to pay the $100 and change the day of our rehearsal, I want everything to run smoothly on the day, and not be worrying!
How long does the rehearsal last approx?
