we are having ours at the 50s primetime cafe in mgm. we love it there.

We had ours at Palio's in the Swan. My ILs hosted it and we had the dinner in the back, private room.

We had ours at ‘Ohana. We wanted it to be a relaxed, casual event since we had a formal evening wedding. We had a blast, and the food was delicious! Apparently men must love meat on skewers, because all the men raved about it, LOL!

Ours will be at O'Hana's as well! Wow!! Pretty popular choice! It's such a great time, though!

My in-laws hosted ours in the St James Ballroom at the Boardwalk.

We had ours at Cape May in the Beach Club. They let us come in early so we would be the only ones in the room and we had the seafood buffet which was wonderful and so much to choose from. All of our guests loved it. Then we walked to Epcot for our Illuminations dessert party on the Upper French Island Terrace.

My son and DIL2B are planning a December wedding and I would like to replace the rehearsal dinner with an Illuminations party. This way I can include the out-of-town guests. Could you tell me who to speak to with regards to a menu and pricing. Also, would you know if I include wine and beer, would Disney charge the same price for adults and children? Thank you for your help, this is all new to me.

I'm sorry, but I don't know....we haven't gotten to the money part yet. We just mailed our contract in the other week and are now waiting for our event manager to call us. However, we're having approx. 30 guests and we hope to keep the bill under $3,000 (preferably $2,000). I'm sure other people on the board could help you out.

we have yet to decide the rehearsal dinner location (we keep flip flopping) but our welcome dinner for our guests is at the dtd rainforest cafe.

grammygrumpy - they would need to contact their em regarding an illuminations dinner or dessert party. you could also try to contact epcot catering although since its a wedding they'll probably tell you to call their em. ours is in the $2,000 range for an illuminations dessert party for 55 after the wedding reception. check out the new disneywedding.com site and deb's unofficial yourfairytale.com under wedding basics, under ceremony & reception locations there is a decent amount of info on the illuminations sites, meals & prices. do keep in mind if the guests dont have park tickets for that day you will have to pay a $12.50 fee pp to view illuminations and yes you can add an open bar. hope this info helps.

We did a Welcome Dinner/Rehersal Dinner at Boatwrights at the POR. All but a very few of our guests were staying there, DH and I were as well, so it made it very easy for the few who didn't go to the rehersal itself to meet up for dinner. Then we rode the boat down to Pleasure Island. Just before midnight DH and a couple friends disappeared and he stayed with his BM that night so we didn't see eachother until the doors opened for the ceremony.
