Rehearsal Dinner Question?

Would it be completely horrible to have a rehearsal then a rehearsal dinner to follow but everyone fends for themselves besides the bridal party? Our budget is really tight.

We were thinking among the lines of "We'll be having a rehearsal and a rehearsal dinner to follow for the bridal party. If you'd like to join us we'll he at this place at this time."

Where did everyone have their rehearsal dinner? I'm thinking about Ohana's. Anyone ever eat there? How's the food?

I think we'll be doing it this way. Sort of an informal rehearsal dinner where guests are welcome as long as they don't mind paying for themselves. I imagine that most of our guests will want to attend and it would just be too expensive for us.

We are doing an informal BBQ on the beach (burgers, hot dogs, chip etc) to keep cost low.

I think we are going to do a Wishs curise for ours just for the bridal party also...Figure we can treat them to somthing for spending money to go down there and be in our wedding. But yea i think most people can fend for themselfs ne who

instead of doing a rehearsal dinner we decided to do a desert party a few days before our wedding. It will be a Welcome/ Rehearsal Party. We really wanted to do a desert party but didn't want to do it the day of the wedding and since it costs so much we thought about doing it as a welcome/rehearsal party instead.

Instead of a rehearsal dinner, we had a casual meet 'n' greet between 4pm and 6pm in a public room at our hotel. Because it was between lunch and dinner, we didn't serve food, and because we weren't serving food, we made sure no one felt obligated to come.

We did end up having an informal rehearsal breakfast after our 8am rehearsal, but it was just the immediate family and we basically told them "We'll be eating breakfast here after the rehearsal, if you want to come along."

We are having an informal lunch at WCC before our rehearsal. I just said it was a family dinner and whoever wants to come can. I will send out more info in our newsletter with the time and menu/prices so people will know we aren't paying and then decide if they want to come.
