Throwing my 2 cents in.... When we went early Feb in '07, during the weekDAYs, the EP lines weren't even open due to low volume in the parks...I agree w/ mac & metro...wait till you're there to purchase your EP.

Well you all would know because like I said I have not been there since 2004, can you buy the EPPs after you enter? Like if the lines look long can you go back and buy them later in the day?

If the dates say Jan 4th through the 15th will that ride be open on the 16th then?

yes, you can buy the epp during the day.
don't worry about them selling out for the dates you will be there.

you can buy the epp's at the major merch store in the parks or at guest service.

yes to your last question...:)

Great thanks :) I had alot of things on my mind and this is great to talk to people who know the facts.

Why doesn't IOA start JPRA today since Popeye and Bluto's thing is done, then it can be done sooner :)

How much do the on-ride photos cost at Universal and Islands of Adventure? How many does each park have?

ask any question you want.
there is always someone around that can help.

i don't remember the cost of the photos for the on ride pics. i bought them once but that has been a couple of years ago.

the pics at the end of the ride for sale are at Hulk, JPRA, Mummy, MIB, and some other places.

i take a pic of the pic...............:rotfl:

the best people to answer your question on how they schedule the rehabs on the rides are the TM's that post in these forums.
they are more knowledgeable than i am on that subject.

a pic of the pic? How do you do that, dont they get fuzzy from the tv screen?

How do you talk to the TMs?

You need to turn the flash off and have a steady hand.:thumbsup2 They won't come out like the bought ones, but great for viewing later on the computer.:thumbsup2

After a ride has been down, and it is time to open it again, does Universal's website put up a special announcement, or do they just show you the dates and once those dates are over people just assume it it opened again?

i have seen it both ways.
the announce it and show the dates.

if the front of the park, you can see a sign that shows "rides that are not operating today"

if you really want to do a ride, and if it is scheduled to be opening that day,
do walk over to it and talk to the TM's there.
they can give you accurate information if the ride will be operating today.

sometimes a ride shuts down due to technical problems.
and sometimes the TM will not know the time it will start back up again.

if you see a TM with a radio, you can ask them to find out if the ride is open yet.....talking about a shut down ride during the day.

i'm sure there are others here that can add to my post about ride shutdowns announcements.

guest services should have up to date info on which rides will not be operating on a certain day when you are in the park.

you could check with them if you are in front of the park area once you are there.

Another question for something different :) I was wondering, I have read that there are some rides at US and IOA that DO NOT allow you to take anything on there with you (backpacks, fanny packs, purses, camera bags, ets.) is that true?

And if so where should we put the bags? How far away might the lockers be from the rides?

Yes...that's true. Free lockers are provided near the entrance of the attractions where loose articles are not allowed.

great. It would not be cool if we had to trek all the way to the front of the park then go to the ride then back to get our stuff. But if they are right there, that is perfect.

There is another question I have been talking over on another discussion board. I have had people tell me that the scanning machines at the airport can erase your video tapes and things, but other people on the board are telling me it is not true. Do you have any idea about that?

No...sorry...I have no idea.

The Universal Website still just says the Barges will be closed from jan 4- 15. There is nothing there saying it is now open or that the closing has been extended. Does that mean it is open now they just have not updated the site yet?

I should probably be able to figure this out but sometimes I just need things explained in different ways. Thanks everyone

i heard that before and when i went thru the scanning at ord and mco, i asked about it. the employees told me that was not true.

to be on the safe side, i asked for a hand scan and they did.

none of my digital pictures were altered.
nothing happened to them.

still checking out the needed info for you....

Ok good deal, I will do the same just to be safe, but it is good to know that in case I forget to ask them, it should be ok. Thanks again
