This is hard for me to post but I value the opinions and help here. Since Subday I've been hurting and urgent care confirmed my hip bursitis has inflamed my inner left pelvic/though area. Basically I can barely walk/ bear weight at times.

I'm seeing how things go but am preparing myself for the "worst".

I'll be staying at HOJO for the first time so unfamiliar with their setup and layout. I have the Premium view Queen beds reserved ( facing Disney) so are there elevators or space downstairs to charge if needed ?

I'm prepared to take it easy but we will be there June 30th around 1am arrival until July 4th.

Any tips or experiences are appreciated.

Don't risk it, reserve a scooter. With the summer crowds and weather it will make your trip easier.
You may feel better by the time you go but once you start touring the parks it might flair up again.
You can use the scooter to get to and from the parks to save a few steps. Once you're in DL or DCA you can use the scooter as much or as little as you want.
I've used one to get to the parks from PPH. Then I only use it to go the long distances in the parks. There are plenty of spots to park it when you don't' want to use it. But when I need it, it's there. I rent from an outside agency. This way I have it for trips from hotel to DTD, DL or DCA.

I broke my foot last September and had to get a scooter. The companies deliver to your hotel. Just don't rent from Apple. The batteries are old and don't hold the charge and I spend most of my time trading out schoolers or trying to find an outlet to charge up enough to go back to the hotel

Avoid crowds after fireworks. Everyone walks in front of you -- these things don't have breaks! It was very stressful in crowds. It was easy however, to go to the end of line and get q return time to go on the ride. Sometimes it makes it a shorter wait, sometimes longer. Just realize you won't be able to go at the same pace you may be used to..lout it is still very fun. Good luck and if you have specific questions let me know!

Definitely rent from an outside company. I've stayed at HoJo and its not a Long walk but will seem like it after a whole day in the parks. I use the scooters when I visit the parks since I'm recovering from bilateral knee surgeries. It makes a world of difference. You should keep in room to charge it, there should be enough room. The Premium rooms are fairly large plenty of room to park it. I'm using Deckerts by suggestions from these boards. Their Phone number (714) 542-5607. Good luck!:moped:

Deckert's is a time-honored company used by many here.

Call Hojo directly during pacific time business hours. They are very good there and will help you out with info.

There are elavators there for sure- we took one to our room when we stayed there. Hugs- hope it gets better and your trip works out awesome anyway- wish I had more helpful info

Thanks to everyone I really appreciate it.
I'm just feeling defeated because though I've struggled with weight issues all my life it's never affected my physical ability and it's right before my birthday so just feeling extra sensitive and self concious.

I'll have my husband call Deckerts later today. Thank you all.

Another vote for hands down Deckerts!!!! And please don't be defeated or self conscious. Even the thinnest most physical fit sometimes need assistance also. Just go and enjoy yourself and don't be sensitive -- everyone should feel like a Queen at Disneyland!!!!

My husband called and reserved one for me so again thank you all. Since we arrive do late on June 30th , they didn't charge us for that day and have it all day on the 4th too ( our departure day) .

Thanks everyone for your kind words and help .
