Registration-Should I Worry?

Hi Disfriends!

I registered myself, DH, and another couple for the Wine & Dine races at WDW back in March of this year. My college roommate and I are both running the 5K and the guys are running the 10K. We are really excited! I have the "you're in" confirmation email with all our individual confirmation numbers and proof of payment.

However, my DH logged in to his RunDisney account yesterday and it says "you're not registered for anything". So, I called the RunDisney number and I spoke with a CM from the main number. She said I needed to speak to the RunDisney IT folks and she transferred me. I immediately got a "we're sorry, there are no cast members available to help you" message. I've called several times both yesterday and today, and I get the same message over and over.

A few questions:
1. How worried should we be? Both couples have our on property hotel reservations, our flights, our ADRs all lined up, and we are all training. We can't wait for our time together at WDW and for the races. I'm trying not to get too worried but...
2. Is there another number I can call to actually speak to a real person?
3. Could the problem be a name issue? I noticed DH's race confirmation has one version of his name, and his MyDisneyExperience account has a different version of his name. Could this be the problem?

Any advice anyone could offer would be awesome. Thank you so much!

If you registered him through your account, and then transferred the registration to him, this is a super common known issue, and the registration is safe somewhere in rD's system.

Chances of you getting a real person in the phone are almost 0. The rundisney IT staff is very small and if you send them an email telling them you had a registration disappear, and the email it’s supposed to be associated with (using the confirmation #) chances are they’ll just fix it and you might not hear back from them at all.

Whoever did the registering (it sounds like 1 person registered multiple people) needs to transfer the registration to the person’s rundisney/my Disney experience email. That’s very straightforward if it hasn’t been done yet.

If you already transferred his registration, have him login (on a computer...it doesn't show up when I use my phone) and look in the top right corner for the dropdown menu and see if he has multiple accounts. As an example, I have "2 accounts" because I registered under DH's login for the 2024 MW races. So when logged in on my computer, in the top right hand corner it says "Herding_Cats" and then underneath it says "1 more account" If he has that, have him select the other account and the registration may be in there.

Otherwise, just have the confirmation number ready and take care of it at the expo. This is a super common thing when someone registers someone else.

Thank you, everyone! Yes, I did register myself and three other people. I did transfer all three registrations to those three folks. My friends' accounts are fine, but DH's is showing nothing. This is interesting, as it showed his race and he signed his waiver months ago. So, the "nothing" in his RunDisney account is new as of yesterday.

I've sent an email with the confirmation number, so I'm hoping it gets fixed. Good to know that it can get fixed at the expo too.

@Herding_Cats I will definitely have DH look at his account to see if he has two accounts. Good to know! Also, I just checked DH's RunDisney account and he has just one account. Weird...but I'm glad I don't have to panic.

This has happened before for myself/other family members what might happen is you may not be able to pull up his expo pass and will just need to fill out a physical waver at bib pick up
