Registering a prepaid Visa debit card

I have a $200 prepaid Visa debit card and would like to use it online, but I think I have to register the card first. Is that right? The card says to register it at www.giftcardmall/mygift, but when I try I get a "500 error" message. I tried calling the number on the back of the card but there is no option to talk to a person.

You're missing the .com from the website address.

I think you 'can' register them, but don't have to in order to use it.
