Registered S/Os visiting Disneyland?

Our neighbor two houses down is a registered S/O and I have known that for a long time. He got in trouble for public urination / public indecency or something years ago. They are going to disneyland this Christmas with their kids. I thought registered S/Os were banned from Disney property. I heard stories about registered S/O guests being escorted off WDW property and told not to come back or they are tresspassing. Our neighbor says disneyland does not have the same rules and they are good to go. Does anybody have any insight in this? This doesn't sound right to me that WDW has a ban but DL doesn't?
I would have no problem having this family around my family as I feel there is no threat here. I am just surprised in the differences in policies from park to park.
If this is inappropriate I apologize, I just thought someone from these boards might know someone who has experienced this. I would just hate for them to plan this whole trip and pay for it to be turned away at the turnstiles. I would rather them know now they can't go.

Honestly if your neighbor has done his own research and found that he is able to visit Disneyland then I'd say there is really nothing you should worry about. Personally I'd leave it at that. I believe stuff like this is based on state laws so it is very likely Florida and California could have laws that differ on this matter.

I don't think Disney can have such rules, however, if his parole has a "can't be near a park/school/location where children are present" in it, he may get in trouble there. And I don't think WDW has such a ban either. It would be very difficult to figure out who is and isn't one. Just because one "John Smith" may be on the list, doesn't mean all are, and that would clog the entry points.

Good points. The wife has been asking for my guidance on planning all other aspects of the trip. I would just hate for her planning and money to go into a short trip for them. Sounds like they have nothing to worry about. He has no restrictions as they have done legoland and knotts no problem.
