Regional Foods?

Lived in Burlington County for 30 years and saw signs of places stating that they had Boost.

We now live in DE and lots of chicken houses around.

That's funny! Moved from NJ to DE many years ago myself, now live just across the border in MD about 25 minutes from either Middletown or Hartly depending on which direction I'm headed, and the Chicken Industry on Delmarva is currently a large part of my business.

Born and raised in Bergen County, sloppy joes are more like “man which” or bbq beef on a bun. Moved to Burlington County and same thing, had no clue about the cold cut sandwich sloppy joe until my DSs in laws served sloppy joes. I looked at it and it puzzled me. LOL. They live in Union County. Yup, Bergen County is Taylor Ham and on the menus that way. Moved to Burlington County and ordered Taylor Ham, they served me a ham steak. Lol.

I’m in Essex, all of the delis here make the cold cut version (and it’s Taylor ham here).

Ahhh, the sloppy joe thing confused the heck out of me when I moved to NJ! I did not understand! A sloppy joe was always something I didn't like- ground beef in sauce on a bun. Then in NJ (Union, Morris, Essex counties), a sloppy joe was a deli sandwich that I knew as a rachel (deli meat, cole slaw, dressing.)

We like Baby As. We were in Austin back in July for a softball tournament and went for dinner one night. I hadn’t been to one since probably 1998 or 1999. Back then, I remember it being the place everybody wanted to go. The food this summer was still great and I forgot how much I liked their Ritas, but it had a more rundown feel. It makes me wonder if they’ll survive, considering they haven’t really played the marketing game like their counterparts.

We’re pretty sure Baby A’s is on its last legs. So sad.

Rocky Rococo Pizza? Lucile’s in Madison has great Detroit style pizza.

Sorry, I don't remember the name of the restaurant. We chose the restaurant with the best reviews that was near Ford Field, if that helps.

That's cool. I've never been able to find a sno-ball made with the fine, fluffy ice like in Louisiana. The ones I've had elsewhere always use course, and crunchy ice. There's a sno-ball stand here in TN where we live, and the guys who run it are from around New Orleans. The sno-balls are so good

So there is a chain…Pelicans snowballs and they are NOLA snowballs (I’m from NOLA but live in Florida and I can attest they are the real deal). I assume all locations do it the same. Nice fluffy ice and all the good flavors (I’m a nectar cream with condensed milk girl).

Just like pierogi. It’s already a plural word, no need to add a “s” or “es.” A single one is a pierog.

In my Polish neighborhood of Philadelphia, we had the jelly filled punchkey, which was usually just eaten from Three Kings Day (January 6) until Fat Tuesday. The rest of the year they were small balls of dough covered with granulated sugar. No filling. Like a zeppole.

One Pierogi two pierogi three pierogi four.
Five pierogi six pierogi whoops, gotta wait until I can eat some more.

Oh, sorry. The bad pizza was in Onalaska. We arrived late & were looking for something to take back to the hotel. There wasn't much open to choose from. It could have been Rocky Rococo I'm not sure.
