On another topic; does anyone have any suggestions on how to put ointment in a 7 year olds eye without a fight? She is in much pain from her surgery and fights us on the ointment.

My DS had his eye surgery when he was 17 months old. We used bribery

Course there is always the one parent holding the child down and the other forcing the eye open, but that is just so traumatic for all involved.


How To Train Your Dragon was a great movie in 3D. Can you promise to take her there after the treatment is done? Popcorn, candy and soda included?

The movie idea just might work. I will just have to substitute the soda for an icee. My crazy children don't like soda. Can you imagaine that?

After a crazy day at work, I came home to a wonderful package!

In it is:

"Pike Place Market Cookbook"
"Southwest Cooking"
A bag of chocolates (great, since "my friend" decided to visit a few days early and I NEED chocolate today! It may not last until tomorrow )
Heart shaped measuring spoons
Lovely soap and travel goodies--perfect for my trip in May
Office supplies

And hopefully I didn't leave anything out!
