Regional Cookbook sent//received thread is here!! COMPLETED!!

One only took two days to arrive!!

I got a great cookbook called Simply the Best, A Collection of Recipes from the Glacier Bank Family! According to Susan, all proceeds from the sale of this cookbook went to the United Way. Awesome!!I also got a cute kitchen towel (you can never have enough), some travel guides to Montana (believe it or not, I have been to MT although I never left Malmstrom AFB!!), some huckleberry taffy which I had to try right away (it was yummy) and a pen from Glacier Bank.

Hmmmmmm, does mtblujeans work for a bank in MT?!?! Me thinks she does!! LOL

Thanks for everything Susan. I cannot wait to try some of the recipes!!

I had to go back and double check that all my cookbooks got to their destinations and I missed some the 'received' posts! Shame on me!!

I don't work for a bank, but when I saw the cookbook exchange I remembered that I saw cookbooks at my bank last Fall and I checked into whether they had any left. They were delighted to send me to the main branch to get the cookbooks as they are quite proud of their project of putting the recipes together and providing the funding to the United Way! I was glad I remembered their books, too, as we are a very 'seasonal' area and there was no real tourist goodies out yet!

I have never been inside Malmstrom AFB, but I sure would like to see the base sometime!

I am so glad! I hope you can use them! I loved the dish towels but I only found enough for my exchangees! The little animals were really cute!

My package arrived from Canada...from Vivian (don't know her DIS name).

I received a set of potholders-oven mitt-dish towel that were red and blue with red and yellow chickens on them. Very bright and cute

She also sent a Canadian Living magazine that included A Quick & Easy chicken cookbook. The package had two other cookbooks: one from The RBC Dominion Securities (a bank)--proceeds to a Cancer Hospital--with recipes from employees of the Company.....and a Yesr-Round Grilling cookbook, which has lots of beautiful pictures. Of course, my food never seems to look like those pictures!!!!

P.S. Sorry for not posting sooner; the package was waiting for me when I got home from work on Wednesday. But, Thursday is my day off and "errand day" and I seem to never make it onto the computer.
