Regency NYC Concierge Collection ???'s

Has anyone ever stayed at the Regency by Loews in NYC? We are thinking about doing this for Christmas maybe next year and would like some input. Pictures are welcome as well. It's got to be pretty nice, after all it is on Park Avenue, right?

Very conveniently located.

And they have Disney Plates for the Kids! DD loved the pancakes.

Bathroom, kinda small

Would not hesitate to stay again.

Put it this way, a lot of celebs stay at this place. Larry King was there the weekend we were there!

Yep, we talked to friends of ours that are from NYC and they say that the area is pretty swanky, I can see how Larry King would be there. Thanks for advice! Pics are fabulous!

We stayed at the Regency last June (not on points). It is known for its "power breakfast". If you want to see a celeb., make sure to have breakfast at the hotel.

It is a great hotel in a nice location. If you are interested in attending a Broadway show, there are hotels that are far more convenient but few that are as "cool".

Thank you! We are planning to go around CHristmas, see the Rockettes, and Wicked. Not this Christmas, maybe next. This is my DREAM trip as I dreamed of being a Rockette my whole life. We plan to go to Tavern on the Green and make use of the hotel's limo service quite often. I will definitely have to check out the "power breakfast". That is too cool!

We used a limo on the night we took my DD to Beauty and the Beast for her birthday and it was a lot of fun for everyone. (Especially when we had the driver pull up to Starbucks). You should try getting a reservation for a meal at Serendipity 3. It was the restaurant in the movie Serendipity and is only a few blocks from the hotel.

Wow! What great tips! My dh LOVES the movie Serendipity! Any other hints for NYC? I've only ever been to Brooklyn and the Bronx and that was in our Semi-Truck I am SO EXCITED! Bring on the NYC tips! I always dreamed of going to the Russian Tea Room as well but since it's closed I guess that'll never happen! I HAVE to go ice skating at Rockafeller Center. And go to FAO Scwartz. And Bloomies. Any other dining ideas? Dh says $$$ is no object on this trip. Well, within a little bit of reason anyway..

A great restaurant that we just went to (two weekends ago) was one run by Bobby Flay (of the Food Network) called Bar Americain. Fantastic and convenient to Broadway. For that time of year make sure to call for reservations for any restaurant far in advance. The worst they will tell you is that you have to call back in a few weeks. A really "touristy" (and fun) thing to do is go see the Today Show at Rockefeller Plaza, go to the Top of the Rock (especially if it's a clear day, you can see for what seems like forever) do an NBC studio tour then finish it off with ice skating.

If $$$ are not an object, you will have no trouble finding lots of great restaurants and things to do. Have fun planning. There is nothing like NYC.
