Regarding the DIS from WebmasterAlex

I made a huge number of changes to the boards last nite in order to try and help those with who are having problems accessing the boards. You will notice that a number of features are temporarily unavailable. If those that were having problems could let me know ASAP if things are better it would speed up the process of getting things back to normal!

One thing I noticed this morning when checking my e-mail was I had several of the normal notifications stating there had been a response to at the DIS Forums then there was one that said Re: response to the is the deck 2 loud.......

My point being is that one e-mail was totally different from the others and what I have received in the past?

I deleted for fear of a virus but did not know why 1 would be in a different format than the 100's of other notifications I have received?

not sure if it is a problem with my laptop or not but when I post on a thread and then there are posts after mine, their post does not show up under my email notice. I only find out someone has posted after I go into the thread and check it out myself. Anyone else having this problem. It started a couple of days ago.

I have not been able to get on the Boards at all for about a week, at home. (I'm at work now) I have tried the usual way - through "favorites"; and even putting in the website in the address. The little bar at the bottom goes between 1/2 way and 3/4 across and freezes.

I have AOL 8.0 and even tried going back to 7.0; but nothing worked.

Hope this gives you an idea. Won't be able to check until I get home from work tonight.

I still have not been able to access the boards other than the cruise board which is in my favorites. I do have AOL 8.0, and when you sign on to the home page it loads up half way and then freezes. I can get there thru IE, but not thru AOL for the past 10days.

I have AOL 8.0 and have no trouble logging onto the boards through it at all.

I also have AOL 8.0,cable modem(RoadRunner),Windows Me and have had no problem at all.I can also access the DIS from IE also.

My experience is the same as ILUVTOGO's.. We will sit tight while Webmaster Alex continues to work on the problem. Thank you all for the input, I shall make sure he sees this thread.

Tried again last night to access the Board - no luck. I was able to access this thread by "copy & paste" fromthe notification, if that gives any clue.

What is IE? I'll try anything.

IE stands for Internet Explorer. It's Micorsoft's product for accessing the web.
