Regarding many add on contracts

We have about 14 parts to our contract. On Saturday, I made an AKV concierge reservation, and although the MS person did use some of our '09 AKV points and then borrowed because there were no more '09 points in that part of the contract, there are still 5 '09 points in another part of our contract. This will probably not be a problem because I do want to stay in AKV in December '09 and I will book that at 11 months out, and will be specific about which contract the MS person should use.

Until this time I have not said "Use the points in the .1 and .2 contract." Should I be prepared each time to say this? We've never had "stray" points like this before. I've never borrowed before I've had to as I have this time. When I was making the reservation, I thought I "knew" about those 5 points, but I wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to muddy the waters while on the phone.

If I understand correctly, you have an AKV contract and then an AKV add-on with the same use year and, in making a reservation, MS failed to take points from the add-on that were needed to get total points and instead borrowed points from the next use year in the main contract. If that is what occurred, MS was wrong as it should have used points from both main and add-on contract before going to any borrowing. Likely, you got someone who does not quite know the system yet and you should call and have MS fix the transaction (and insist that they not do any cancellation and then rebooking in doing so, which would risk losing the reservation, and just fix the points and put borrowed points back into their use year). Just note the mistake you mention is not anything that has ever happened to us as MS has always known to use any and all current use year points first though we have several add-ons.

OK..yes, it's the chance of losing the concierge that is making me hesitate to bring this before MS!

So, you do not have to approach each reservation with the contract numbers in hand? Well, I will give MS a call and see if it can be resolved.

Thank you.

Assuming that both AKL contracts are under the same membership number, a true master and add-on, and not a master and small resale under a different membership, and assuming their are no conflicts in booking because of Kidani point use dates, MS should be able to re-allocate the points properly and make a manual adjustment to put the borrowed points back into their use year. I've had similar experiences booking OKW when the reservation overlapped the start of my use year...they borrowed when it wasn't necessary. They fixed it right away when I called back. You may need to ask for a supervisor, depending upon how much training the CM that answers the phone has had ;) The first time I needed a supervisor, the second time the CM that answered fixed it.

Yes, it's one membership number. We haven't added on AKV this year, so all AKV points are from the Jambo units. OK...I will give MS a call. Thank you.

I have 1 master and 19 add-on contracts. Whenever I make a reservation, I always tell them the number of contracts I have for a particular resort when booking a reservation. When booking BCV, for example, I always tell them I have 4 BCV contracts. It seems to work.

I refer to my AK contracts as just one contract. I just ask how many AKV points I have available for instance, and they give me the total amount of points (granted I don't have many at AKV). Of course, I keep track of what I have just to make sure their information coincides with mine.

A true addict. Probably like you, I try to restrain myself from further add-ons, but it is a hard compulsion to overcome.

I'm going to do another add-on at BLT (I currently have 200 BLT points), but I'm waiting to see if the incentives get any better in the next 3 months.
