That when it comes time to really watch the budget , that's when you want to vacation more than ever?? LOL
I keep getting all these dang GREAT specials in my email for cruises, vacations, resorts, flights etc when I really need to be using my money elsewhere. But.. I really wanna go
I've also noticed I love to shop more when the budget is tight than when I have extra cash. Is it just me?? LOL

Boy is that ever true! I would love to get away for a few nights with DH over Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, the car my DS drives needs a rebuilt transmission. Complete budget buster! But, DS needs a reliable car to get to his clinical rotations so that is more important. The travel bug just doesn't want to go away.

YES!

DH & I are focusing on building our emergency fund and paying off a personal loan so we made a promise that until those two things are accomplished we are not taking any vacations. Well, of course, after hearing about Disney PIN codes for 9 years and never getting one....we get one! It was for 40% off too. Ouch.
