regarding discounts

If I don't have an annual pass, no AAA and I don't live in Florida, are there any discounts offered? Just curious

Outside of those, there's nothing available right now. When are you traveling? There's always the possibility of another package deal coming out for the period between Spring Break and Summer Recess.

Hi Winter!

I am guessing that you are talking about Resort Discounts. Well, other than the 2 things that you have mentioned, there are Military Discounts at Shades of Green. And there are occasional mailings (and there is no rhyme or reason as to WHO gets these mailings) that offer special prices on Resorts. Other than these, there are occasional codes that are available to everyone, but recently, these codes have been on packages more than just rooms themselves. Like last fall's Free Dining where you got the Magic Your Way Dining Free with the purchase of a package. You have to watch these boards often to see when the next discount may come out.

In the past, have there been discounts for summer?

Again, if you're referring to room-only discounts, there have not been too many made to the general public since the introduction of the MYW tickets and packages. Last summer, there were none. The last room-only code for the general public was for stays Oct 23-Nov 23, 2005.

We booked the MYW package with dining for our June trip. We have certain restaurants we like to eat at when we go. With the money we saved by adding the dining package it's like getting our room at POR for $400. For 7 nights. At least that's the way I look at it. You just have to sit down and crunch some numbers.
