I hear a lot about these discount codes. How do you book a Disney Resort with the code? Any particular website? Can it be done through the "Disney World" website?
I want to book the Caribbean Beach Resort for late August but I don't see any codes available for August yet. I want to at least reserve the room now just in case the resort is gets sold out. If I do reserve the room now can I still use the code? Or would I have to cancel the reservation and re-book? How much do these codes save you?
thanks for any info you can give me.

Keep your eye on Mousesavers.com. The codes are always posted there.

You can call 1-407-w-disney, or one of the toll free numbers floating around the boards, make a room-only ressie at rack rate or AAA if you have it.
When an AP or general public code comes out, you just call back and have them apply the code to your existing ressie. Everything starys the same, except for the price you're paying.
I have done this twicw in the past 2 years, and am doing it again this year for AKL. It's easy.

I don't know if you can do this through the website, does anyone know? I have always preferred speaking directly to a CM, however, to let them know exactly what i want.

Good luck!

The spring savings code (CPC, or something like that) you can book directly online through disney.com.

I liked being able to do that, play around with dates, resorts, etc...

And yes, based on what I have done in the past, you can book the resort now, then if codes come out that apply to your dates/resort, you can ask them to apply it to your reservation. You shouldn't have to rebook.

Others answered the "how to" questions for you.

Savings? In December, we got a standard room at AKL. Rack rate was $199/night plus tax. With the AP code it dropped to $109/night plus tax. $90 per night x 5 mights = $450 savings per room. (To top it all off, we had 6 rooms at that rate since we had several passholders going...for a total savings of $2700 plus the taxes that would have been on it!)

So you can save quite a bit of money!! The codes are worth the research and extra time on the phone!!
